January Empties

Happy 2018! I don't know about you, but I can't believe it's already 2018. Seriously guys, I feel like the year 2000 was like yesterday. When did it become 2018?? I feel old.  Anyway, now that I've needlessly complained about the passage of time, let's get to my empties from January. I feel like I used up a ton of products this month, so we have a lot to talk about.  Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm by Yes To - I think I've used three or four bottles of Yes To's Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm. I really like this product; it smells great and it hydrates and softens the skin around my eyes. However, I'm not going to repurchase it because this product contains alcohol, and I'm trying to eliminate alcohol from my skin care products. I do think it's a good product, so, if you don't mind alcohol in your skin care products, I would recommend this product to you. Keratin Mist Leave-In Strengthening Treatment by Ch

Why I'm Returning the Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2 by Tarte

Okay. So, this is going to be an unusual blog post for me, but I feel that this palette --  Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2 by Tarte -- needs to be addressed. I recently picked up the  Vol. 2 palette, but I feel that t here are some real and serious issues with this palette that need to be talked about . I'm going to dive into that in a minute, but, first, let me explain my "journey" with this palette. Recently, I found out that Tarte was releasing a second "volume" of their Clay Play palette. I really enjoy their Clay Play palette ( as you can read in my review of the palette ). So, when I heard about the Vol. 2 palette and I saw that it was going to have shimmer shades and blushes (swoon), I decided I was going to buy it without question. After I got back from my holiday vacation and saw that it was available at Ulta, I cashed in my Ulta points and ordered it without a second thought. It's 100% my fault for ordering the palette. Honestly, I feel

My ColourPop Pressed Shadows Collection

Image
I've been meaning to write this blog post for a while. And, when I say "a while," I mean since ColourPop released powder shadows...which was like a year ago. As soon as ColourPop released powder shadows, I got really excited and bought a bunch of them shortly afterwards. I continued to buy more shadows throughout the year, but I haven't written about any of them ever on my blog, and I'm not really sure why. At first, I wanted to write a blog reviewing the powder shadow launch and the formula, but it seems a little late in the game for that. So, instead I've decided to write about my ColourPop pressed shadow collection and give mini reviews of all the shadows I have. In general, I find ColourPop's pressed shadows to be a mixed bag. The formula is pretty inconsistent in my opinion, but I've observed that the shimmers tend to be much better than the mattes. However, ColourPop does make some beautiful shadows; it's just a little hit or miss. I
