A lot of makeup products pass through my collection. I'm constantly picking products up and using things up, but I also declutter things from time to time. Over the past few months, I've decluttered a few products. So, without further ado, let's get into my recent declutters: Afterglow Palette by Becca - I've had this palette in my collection for a while. In fact, I think it was one of the first products I reviewed on this blog. I picked it up because I wanted to try out the Becca highlight formula. I like the Becca formula, but a lot of the shades in this palette were way too dark for me, so I finally decided to pass it along to a friend who will get more use out of it, Happy Birthday Palette by NYX - I got this palette as a birthday gift from Ulta a while back.  If you watch makeup YouTube channels, you probably remember that a few months ago people were going crazy over the Microfiber Velvet Sponge by Juno & Co. If you don't remember or don't know, the Microfiber Velvet Sponge is basically just a makeup sponge "made with velvet-soft microfiber bristles and a slanted edge for controlled stippling" (according to Juno & Co.). Anyway, there was a lot of hype over this product and everyone who tried it seemed to love it, so I wanted to try it out. Now, I know that a lot of the hype has died down (let's be real, the internet has a very short attention span), but I wanted to try the sponge, so I picked it up a few weeks ago, and I've been using it for a while. I'm not a huge highlight fiend, so — compared to the rest of my makeup collection — my collection of highlights is actually pretty small. However, when I saw the Hyper Real Glow Palettes by MAC, I knew I was going to have to pick one up. It took me a while to get around to picking this palette up (because, you know, we live in the real world where you (unfortunately) can't buy all the makeup all the time). However, I eventually picked up the Flash + Awe palette , which is the more rose-toned one of the two palettes MAC release. The other palette they released is called Get It Glowin', which has some VERY gold shades. Each one has three shades and costs $39.50. Sometimes, products don't work out for me. It's frustrating to talk about disappointing products sometimes because it's upsetting when a product doesn't work out. However, I do think that it's important to talk about disappointing products so that other consumers can make an informed choice. That being said, I have some disappointing products to share with you today, so let's get into it: Ultra-Rich Body Butter in White Flowers by Ulta - I picked up this lotion because I was on vacation visiting a friend, and I had forgotten to bring lotion with me. I don't know what it is about this product, but the formula is not good. It smells good, but it leaves a strange residue on the skin, and it doesn't really feel like the moisture sinks into the skin. I don't know about you, but October went past pretty quickly for me. I feel like I say this a lot, but I feel like I blinked my eyes and October was gone. I tried quite a bit of new makeup in October, which I'm working on reviewing now. However, I do have some new favorites this month, and I'm excited to share them with you, so let's dive in: Climax Mascara by NARS - I've been hearing about how great NARS' Climax Mascara is for a while. I finally got a sample from Sephora, and, let me tell you, it is not over-hyped. It is a really, really nice product. The mascara really makes your lashes look very full and long and "fluffy" for lack of a better word. It's a gorgeous and very flattering mascara, and I understand why so many people love it. I've been really enjoying this mascara this month, but I don't think I can justify repurchasing it because of the price. Every now and then, I like to make some space on my blog for products that aren't favorites but aren't disappointments either. I pick up a lot of products that aren't really interesting enough to have a full review devoted to them, so I talk about them in my "New to My Collection" blogs. My feeling is, even if I don't think it's a very interesting or exciting product, there may be someone out there that would benefit from a short review of the product. So, in the interest of reviewing as many products for you as possible, let's get in to what's new to my collection this month: Photofocus Primer Water Spray by Wet n' Wild - I don't want to by mean to Wet n' Wild here, but there's some chance that this primer water is actually just water. As you probably know, I love to try new foundations. A little while ago, I was in Ulta, and I decided to pick up the Studio Fix Fluid Foundation by MAC. Now, this is not a new foundation, but it is new to me, so I want to review it. I think that sometimes people focus too much on new releases and not enough on solid, good quality products that already exist. That being said, I want to talk about this foundation. First of all,  I should say that this foundation gives light to medium coverage, and it has a matte finish. It comes in 59 shades, which is awesome. My shade is a near perfect match for me, which is pretty difficult to find. I don't think there's any other brand that has more foundation shades on the market than MAC, at least, no other brand that I'm aware of. It costs $30, which is pretty reasonable for a high-end foundation. In terms of the formula, I have mixed feelings. This is a very matte foundation , which is not my favorite finish by any means. I

A little while ago, I wrote a blog post about my collection of ColourPop single shadows. Since then, I've picked up a lot of new single shadows by ColourPop, so it seemed like a good time to write an update post. I have quite a large collection of ColourPop single shadows, which is a little strange because I don't always love ColourPop's eyeshadow formula. I have a lot of ColourPop palettes as well, but I think the formula of those shadows is better than the formula of the single shadows. I find the formula of the single shadows to be very hit and miss. Some of them are fantastic, some of them are mediocre, and some of them are unusable. So, hopefully it will be helpful if I tell you which ones are good and which ones are not. Anyway, without further ado, let's get into my shadow collection. Take the Lead - This is a very ordinary shade. It's a cool, kind of murky brown. It's a very versatile shade; however, I'm not the biggest fan of the formula. It&

So, a few months ago, Benefit released a new foundation called the Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation. At first, I wasn't really interested in trying out the foundation, but then I saw that they were selling a travel size for only $10, so I thought I might as well try it out. I have been really into trying foundations lately, and I do like Benefit as a brand, so I thought this would be a good foundation to try out. To give you some background, this foundation comes in 12 shades and costs $29. Benefit describes it as a foundation that "looks like skin and feels like nothing at all." I've been using it for a few weeks, and I think that that's a very accurate description. This is a very light coverage foundation that's designed to give the "your skin but better" look. This foundation is true to its description for sure. However, I'm not sure how I feel about the formula overall. I went back and forth a few times about this foundation. At first,

Another month, another empties blog! I used up a lot of products this month, just in time to replace them with approximately 500 and a half new products. Yay! Anyway, let's get into the products that I used up this month. Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer by Tarte - I've written a lot about this concealer (as has everyone else in the makeup universe); it's one of my favorites and I've been through several tubes of this product. It gives really full coverage, and it's very crease resistant. If you haven't tried the Shape Tape concealer yet, I highly recommend it. I'll certainly continue to repurchase it. Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum by OGX - So, I really like OGX's hair products; they're cheap and they get the job done. I've gone through several bottles of their Coconut Milk Serum.
