New to My Collection (October 2018)
Every now and then, I like to make some space on my blog for products that aren't favorites but aren't disappointments either. I pick up a lot of products that aren't really interesting enough to have a full review devoted to them, so I talk about them in my "New to My Collection" blogs. My feeling is, even if I don't think it's a very interesting or exciting product, there may be someone out there that would benefit from a short review of the product.
So, in the interest of reviewing as many products for you as possible, let's get in to what's new to my collection this month:
Photofocus Primer Water Spray by Wet n' Wild - I don't want to by mean to Wet n' Wild here, but there's some chance that this primer water is actually just water. It does nothing at all for my makeup. The sprayer also does NOT produce a fine mist; it comes out in HUGE droplets. However, I don't really mind this product because it's very refreshing on the skin.
Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara by Tarte - Okay, so I know that this is a favorite mascara for many people, but, in my opinion, it's just okay. I got this mascara as a 100 point perk from Sephora. It does give decent length and volume, and it doesn't clump, but it's nothing special. Maybelline mascaras have done basically the same thing for me. It's a good mascara, but it's not worth the money in my opinion.

Throwback Lipstick - Cheers to 20 Years in That Girl by Too Faced - I picked this lipstick up because I've really been into glitter lipsticks recently, and I thought that this lipstick looked like something I would love. It's from Too Faced's recent 20th anniversary collection, which--based on the reviews I saw--most people disliked. In my opinion, this lipstick is okay. I picked up the shade That Girl, which is described as bronze rose glitter. My only problem with it is that it doesn't really have any base color. However, if you wear it over a lip liner, it does give you a nice glitter lip. However, I do think that this is over priced for what it is, and there are certainly other glitter lipsticks on the market that are cheaper. It's a perfectly fine product, but I can't recommend it.
Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color in Fig Luster by Sephora - I picked up this lip product from the Sephora Collection purely because it was on sale and I was trying to get to a shipping minimum. I don't really have strong feelings about this product; it's not very long-wearing and it's not super matter, but it is pretty comfortable on the lips. The formula is a little watery when you apply it, but that's not really a problem for me. I do really like this particular shade; it's a beautiful plumy pink, which is right up my ally. If it's still on sale at Sephora, it might be worth checking out.
#Lipstories Lipstick in Take a Spin by Sephora - I've been dying to try the Lipstories Lipsticks from the Sephora Collection for a long time. I finally picked up a couple of the Lipstories Lipsticks, and, I have to say, they're pretty good! The formula is creamy and pigmented, and they're comfortable on the lips. They're not very long wearing, but that's to be expected with traditional lipsticks. Because I've been in to glitter lipsticks recently, I picked up the shade Take a Spin, which is sort of like a rose gold shimmer. I would definitely recommend it if you like glitter lipsticks! (Plus, the packaging is super cute).
#Lipstories Lipstick in Labyrinth City by Sephora - As I said above, I've been dying to try the Lipstories Lipsticks from the Sephora Collection for a long time. I picked up a couple of shades including Labyrinth City, which is sort of a rosy, plumy brown. It's a very flattering shade, and I think it would look great with a lot of different skin tones. Plus, these Lipstories Lipstick are pretty cheap. I think it's a really good value for the price!
Mirage Noir Lipstick in Twig by MAC - When I saw the MAC Mirage Noir collection, I fell in love with the packaging, and I knew I had to get something from the collection. I love MAC lipsticks and I thought Twig was a prettiest shade from that collection, so I picked it up. I probably wouldn't have picked it up otherwise, but I just thought that this green and purple packaging was too beautiful to miss.
Let me know what you picked up recently in the comments!
