September Empties

Image
Another month, another empties blog! I used up a lot of products this month, just in time to replace them with approximately 500 and a half new products. Yay! Anyway, let's get into the products that I used up this month. Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer by Tarte - I've written a lot about this concealer (as has everyone else in the makeup universe); it's one of my favorites and I've been through several tubes of this product. It gives really full coverage, and it's very crease resistant. If you haven't tried the Shape Tape concealer yet, I highly recommend it. I'll certainly continue to repurchase it. Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum by OGX - So, I really like OGX's hair products; they're cheap and they get the job done. I've gone through several bottles of their Coconut Milk Serum. It definitely reduces frizziness and it makes my hair softer and stronger. If you're looking for cheap hair care products, I

Hey Now, You're an All Star: All Star Face Setting Spray by ColourPop Review

Image
Apparently I've been buying a lot of stuff from ColourPop lately because I have yet another ColourPop product to review for you today. I've never really been interested in trying a lot of different setting sprays, and I tend to stick with setting sprays that I know I like (basically, I use Fix + all the time). However, I do like to try new setting sprays from time to time, and ColourPop's All Star Setting Spray intrigued me. When this product was released, I was immediately drawn to it. ColourPop is one of my favorite brands, so I always give their releases a second look. According to ColourPop,  this setting spray is a "high performing setting spray that extends the wear of makeup by fighting oil and blurring pores with a weightless, micro-fine mist," which sounds great. I'm always looking for inexpensive products that also work well, and this product sounded like it would be one of those, so I decided to pick it up. I've had it and been using it fo

The Zodiac Collection by ColourPop X Kathleen Lights Review

Image
What's your sign? I'm a Leo, my rising sign is Scorpio, and my moon sign is Libra. I'm telling you all of this because Kathleen Lights recently released a Zodiac collection with ColourPop. I've been watching Kathleen Lights for a long time, and she's one of my favorite YouTubers, so I always like to support her when she does collabs. Kathleen also seems to be really into astrology, so a Zodiac collection seems like a natural fit for her. Personally, I'm not super into astrology, and I don't think I'm really very Leo-ish. However, reading horoscopes and such can be fun, and ColourPop's horoscope for me was weirdly accurate last month. I also think that the Zodiac is a really cool concept for an eyeshadow palette, so I was really excited when Kathleen announced her collection. There are a bunch of things in this collection (highlighters, supernova shadows, an eyeshadow palette, and lipsticks), but I only picked up the eyeshadow palette and

Review: Ulta Collection Full Coverage Liquid Concealer

Image
Recently, I've heard several people on YouTube talking about the Full Coverage Liquid Concealer from the Ulta Collection. The YouTubers that I saw talking about it seemed to really like this concealer, so I thought I'd pick it up and try it out. I've been using this concealer for a few weeks, and I have some thoughts. First of all, let's go over the details. It costs $9 , which is a very affordable price.   The product also comes with .8 ounces ; that's not a ton of product, but it is a good value for the price. This is from the Ulta Collection, so, obviously, you can only purchase it at Ulta . Unfortunately, the shade range for this product isn't very good . There are 12 shades total, but only 2 deep shades, which is pretty bad. In terms of the finish, I would say that this concealer is demi-matte with medium to full coverage . Anyway, now that we've touched on the details, let's talk about the actual product. I've used this concealer a lot,

A Holo Setting Powder? NYX Holographic Halo Finishing Powder Review

Image
So, today I'm reviewing a product that really intrigued me when I saw it. It is a holographic (?) finishing powder from NYX. That's right, it's supposed to be a holographic powder that goes all over your face. If that sounds weird, it's because it is. The second I saw it, I knew I had to buy it because I wanted to see how NYX was going to pull off a hologrpahic finishing powder, and I really wanted to see what it looked like on the skin. I've had it for a couple of weeks, and I've been testing it out, so I think I'm ready to review it. First of all, props to NYX for having a really original product idea. As far as I know, no one else has released a holographic complexion product. There have certainly been illuminating setting powders that have shimmer in them in the past, but I've never seen anything like this product before. However, I do think it's important to mention that this product isn't really holographic. After watching a few of
