Mini Bath & Body Works Haul

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about my last Bath & Body Works haul. Right after I finished writing that blog, I turned around and bought more Bath & Body Works stuff. (I'm beginning to think I might have a problem with scented soaps and candles). Anyway, because of that, I now have another Bath & Body Works haul to share. I promise this will be the last one for a while (I think).

 Strawberry Pound Cake Candle - This candle is so sweet it's kind of sickening. I mean, it's like being punched in the face with sugar, but I like it. I don't think it smells like pound cake though; it's more like frosting. Also, the wax itself is aggressively pink. What's not to love?




Cinnamon Sugared Donut Candle - This candle really does smell like donuts, which is AMAZING in my mind. It smells like cinnamon sugar, and it's just delicious. I know I'm going to love having this candle in my room.


Mango Mandarin Shower Gel - I'm a big fan of B&BW shower gels. I think their formula is great; it's very concentrated, so each bottle lasts a long time. I picked up the Mango Mandarin scent because it's very fresh and fragrant.


Rose Water & Ivy Ultra Shea Body Cream - I go through a lot of lotion. My skin always seems to dry out, so I need a lot of moisture. B&BW lotions are particularly rich, and I love the rose scent.


Holiday Candle - This candle was on sale because, obviously, it's out of season now. This is supposed to be a holiday scent; it's full of spices and cinnamon and pine. I'll probably save it until next fall/winter, but, let me tell you, it's a delicious scent. (And the packaging is super cute).

I usually do my best to resist buying holiday makeup releases. Often, holiday products have a different formula and aren't as good as other products carried by the brand. However, sometimes holiday releases are just too good to miss. I recently grabbed one of Tarte's holiday releases, the 9 Ways To Shine Cheek Wardrobe. As the name suggests, this is basically a face collection with nine shades of blush, highlight, and bronzer. I was primarily interested in it because 1) I like Tarte blushes and 2) the packaging was SO CUTE .  The shades come in three stacks that slide open and fold up as needed. Recently, I've been obsessed with things that come in this fun, folding packaging, so I'm really glad that Tarte released this product. I just think that this is such a good idea for travel and all that jazz. The Violet One Lash Primer by Milani: Review

I don't normally use lash primer, but recently I've heard good things about the Violet One lash primer by Milani, so I decided to try it out. I've now been using it for about a month, and I have some thoughts to share. First of all, I should say that this primer DEFINITELY makes a difference. Sometimes, I feel like primers in general are just an extra step, but every now and then you stumble upon one that is really good. This primer really does lengthen and volumize your lashes. In fact, when used properly, it almost gives a false lash effect. Milani calls it a "next-level lash primer with a better than falsies formula that really does it all," and I think that's pretty accurate. When layered with regular mascara, the primer gives you longer and fuller lashes. However, this product does have some problems. First of all, it clumps like CRAZY. HUGE Declutter (Winter 2019/ Spring 2020)

I've been decluttering a LOT of products lately. I don't know if it's because we're all in lockdown or because I'm in Spring cleaning mode, but I've recently had the urge to really get my collection under control. I have way too many things that I don't need/use in my collection, and I feel like it's time to get rid of them. As a disclaimer, I will note that I'm not necessarily decluttering these products because they're bad; I'm decluttering them because they're not compatible with my makeup needs or because I have similar things that I like more. Most of the things I've decluttered will go to either friends/family or Project Beauty Share, a charitable organization that gives gently used or new makeup products to women in need.
