So, there are a lot of products I wanted to review this month and there's no way I'm going to get to them all...you know, because I'm supposed to be studying for midterms and stuff. Anyway, there are a couple of products I really want to talk about, so I decided to streamline the process and shove a bunch of stuff into one blog. Elegant, right? Ultra Moisturizing Argan Creme Facial Lotion with Olive Oil by Promise Organic ($15) : I got this product in my ipsy bag last month (BTW, if you don't know, ipsy is a makeup subscription service, and it's amazing) and I've been using it every day ever since. It's a super light, soft moisturizer. I like it because it's not too heavy on the skin -- which is important since I wear this moisturizer under my makeup. I also LOVE the citrus scent; it's super refreshing in the morning! And, as an added bonus, it's cruelty free and the packaging is made from recycled materials . I'll definitely be try...

Reviews: Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder

Image
About a month and a half ago, Laura Geller released their new Filter Finishing Setting Powder. I was really excited to try it because I've had positive experiences with Laura Geller products in the past and I think, in general, it's a solid brand. So, I bought the setting powder from Ulta and I've now been using it for a few weeks. First, let me talk about the negative aspects . To be honest, I was a little disappointed by this product. In general, I'm a big fan of setting powders; I think they do wonders for your makeup, but this product didn't live up to my expectations. It's supposed to be a translucent powder, that's true, but this product didn't really do anything for me. I found that I had to layer on a huge amount of the powder in order to get any real results. That being said, once I put enough on, it did give me a bit of a dewy look. However, it's no where near as "flawless" or "radiant" as the product description descr...

Colour Pop Haul & Product Reviews

Image
I recently bought a bunch of products from the brand ColourPop (note that color is spelled with a U -- very posh). I've been dying to try ColourPop ever since I heard about it from a friend and I finally got a chance to this past month. I've been using these products for a couple of weeks now, so I have've had a chance to really get to know the products and I would like to share some of my observations with you!  Highlighter ($8) : This is definitely the best product I've gotten from ColourPop thus far! I've used it literally every day since purchasing it and I've already hit pan! These highlighters are simply gorgeous! I suppose it would be best to say that this is a creme highlighter. The texture is very silky and soft and creamy and difficult to describe. It's super light and soft on the skin and it covers beautifully. It's very easy to apply and it has a sheer, dewy finish on the skin. Unlike other ColourPop products that look dry on the skin (...

Reviews: UD Gwen Stefani Lipstick

Image
So, as many of you already know, Urban Decay Cosmetics recently released a line of cosmetics inspired by Gwen Stefani . Gwen is a singer, in case you haven't heard of her; she's currently a solo artist, but she used to be the front woman of a band called No Doubt (check out the embedded video). Now, I love Gwen Stefani and I love Urban Decay so I'm massively in favor of this and I was super excited to try it. The cosmetic line features an eye shadow palette, a blush palette, brow box, lip pencils, and lipsticks. All of the products are completely gorgeous. However, they are a little pricey, so, thus far, I've only purchased the lipstick . Now, I don't think I've ever disliked an Urban Decay product and this is no exception. First off, the packaging is gorgeous. It has a lovely gold and black case with an art-deco inspired pattern, which is very eye-catching and distinctive. The lid clicks into place and the case is made out of hard plastic, which is nice ...
