February Favorites: Recommendations

So, there are a lot of products I wanted to review this month and there's no way I'm going to get to them all...you know, because I'm supposed to be studying for midterms and stuff. Anyway, there are a couple of products I really want to talk about, so I decided to streamline the process and shove a bunch of stuff into one blog. Elegant, right?

Ultra Moisturizing Argan Creme Facial Lotion with Olive Oil by Promise Organic ($15): I got this product in my ipsy bag last month (BTW, if you don't know, ipsy is a makeup subscription service, and it's amazing) and I've been using it every day ever since. It's a super light, soft moisturizer. I like it because it's not too heavy on the skin -- which is important since I wear this moisturizer under my makeup. I also LOVE the citrus scent; it's super refreshing in the morning! And, as an added bonus, it's cruelty free and the packaging is made from recycled materials. I'll definitely be trying out other products from this line! The only downside is that you can only buy this line at certain CVS stores. There are four CVS stores in my town and none of them sell this line, so I'm probably going to have to buy it online. However, if you have a CVS near you that sells Promise Organic, you should definitely try out this product. Final rating: 7/10

Glacial Cleansing Cloths by Skyn Iceland ($15): This is another product I got in my ipsy bag and I've really enjoyed using it. These makeup remover wipes are really soft and they have a great smell. The other thing I really like about them is that they are not too wet and they leave no residue. They take off all of my makeup easily and they are super gentle. I will say that I have a friend with REALLY sensitive skin and she also tried this product and she said it burnt her skin. So, if you have really sensitive skin, you may want to stay away from this. However, I have fairly normal skin in terms of sensitivity and I've had no problems. Final rating: 10/10

Death Valley Dry Shampoo by R + Co ($30): I received this product in my Birchbox (another makeup subscription service) a few months ago and I've loved it ever since. I have super dry hair, so I don't wash my hair every day and I really love this product for the days I don't wash my hair. It makes your hair feel super clean and nice. Plus, it's not heavy at all and doesn't leave any sort of residue at all, which I love! It also has this great, coconut scent, which is great. My hair also has a tendency to be really frizzy and curly, and this product really subdues the frizz for me. Also, as a side note, the packaging is gorgeous and really elegant. It really plays into the desert theme, which is super cute! Final rating: 9/10

Highlighter by Colourpop ($8): I know I've already written about this product in my Colourpop Haul blog, but I just wanted to reiterate how much I love this highlighter. The texture is super soft and easy to work with, and the color is amazing! I currently have this product in the shade Hippo, which is a gorgeous, sheer lavender. I can't even describe to you how gorgeous it looks and pictures don't do it justice! Hands down, it's the best highlighter I've ever used. I've also had the opportunity to swatch some of the other shades, and I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. Monster is especially pretty. Actually, I just ordered another highlighter in the shade Spoon, so I'll let you know what I think of that in the future. I use this highlighter on my cheekbones, above my eyebrows, on my chin, and in the corners of my eyes and it always looks amazing. Final rating: 10/10
