Review: Goodnight Sweetheart i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette by Sleek

A few weeks ago, I wrote a first impressions blog post about Sleek cosmetics. One of the products I talked about in that post was the Goodnight Sweetheart i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette. Now that I've had more time to use this palette, I decided to write a more complete review of this palette. I've noticed that my impressions of products tend to change over time, so I always try to use a product for a while before I write a final review of the product.

First of all, this palette is produced by the brand Sleek. Sleek is a British cosmetic brand, so, if you're in the USA (like me), you're going to have to order it online. Even though the palette itself is fairly inexpensive (it's €8.74, which is roughly $11), you'll probably have to pay for shipping. Plus, since the palette will be coming from Europe, it'll probably take quite some time to reach you.

Now that I've told you all that, let's talk about the actual product. This palette is chock full of reds, purples, greys, and silvers, which are basically all the colors you need to create fall makeup looks. I particularly like reds and pinks for fall makeup looks, so I'm in love with all the red shadows in this palette. It's definitely a very autumnal palette.

The formula of the shadows is pretty good as well. There are a lot of dark shadows in this palette, which means that there is some fall out. However, almost all dark shadows have fall out, so I don't think that that really means anything about the quality of the shadows. These shadows are very pigmented; however, they're not super creamy, which makes them more difficult to blend. Because the palette is inexpensive, I don't mind spending a little more time to blend these shadows. However, if blend-ability is a big deal to you, I wouldn't recommend this palette.

One thing that really bothers me about this palette is the packaging. As you know, I'm super picky about packaging, and nothing bothers me more than hard plastic packaging for makeup palettes. I don't know what it is, but, for some reason, it seems very cheap to me. I much prefer cardboard or metal packaging. Also, this palette doesn't have the names of the shadows printed on the packaging, which is a HUGE pet peeve for me. However, I recognize that packaging isn't a huge deal for most people, and, in any case, I don't think it's a deal breaker in the case of this palette.

All in all, I think this palette is a good value for the cost. Although, you should be aware that you're going to need to work with these shadows a little more than usual in order to get the best results. However, I would definitely purchase more palettes from this brand in the future.

Final rating: 8/10
