April Empties

Image
Happy April! Spring is always a great time for makeup. Spring always inspires me to break out of my makeup rut and try new products. In the spirit of spring cleaning, spring also inspires me to use up old products to make room for new things. So, without furthur ado, these are my empties from the month of April: Death Valley Dry Shampoo by R+Co ($30) - I think I've written about this product before. It's one of my favorite dry shampoos better. Actually, let me rephrase this, it is my favorite dry shampoo. It pulls all the oil out of my hair, it leaves my hair pretty soft, and it has a nice, powder scent. I don't know what else I could ask for from a dry shampoo. I will be repurchasing this, but I want to use up one of my other dry shampoos first. (Also, let's be real, I love the packaging). Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser by Yes To ($9.99) - Honestly, I don't really know why I bought this. This cleanser is supposed to help clear up acne, and I don...

Mini Bath & Body Works Haul

Image
If you've read my blog for any length of time, you probably know that I use and enjoy a lot of Bath & Body Works products. Obviously, I think Bath & Body Works is a great brand; however, I haven't actually purchased Bath & Body Works products for a while because I had this huge stockpile of Bath & Body Works stuff. As you may or may not have noticed, I'm a person who gets carried away when things go on sale. Bath & Body Works is constantly having buy three, get two free sales and stuff like that. So, long story short, a few years ago I went on a Bath & Body Works kick and ended up with a billion bottles of body wash and lotion. Anyway, I've finally started to run low on B&BW products, so I felt justified in buying some B&BW stuff (especially since they were having such good sales last week).  Plus, I'm all about that three wick candle.  Ultra Shea Body Cream in Waikiki Beach Coconut ($13.00) - You guys know that I am obsess...

Review: Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills

Image
Okay, before I begin this review, I want to acknowledge that I know that literally everyone who has ever used makeup ever has already reviewed this palette. This is probably the most talked about eyeshadow palette in the history of the world! (Okay, maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but can you think of any palette that is more "famous")? At this point, I think everyone who is interested in the Modern Renaissance Palette already has all the information about it that they need. And, if you weren't interested in it before, this review is not going to make you change your mind. However, I have this palette (actually, I've had it since December, but, as I said, I'm way behind on my palette reviews), so I'm going to give you my thoughts about it. First of all, I want everyone to take a moment to appreciate how difficult it was for me to get my hands on this palette. This palette released in June 2016, and I didn't have an opportunity to get it until De...

A Blue Highlighter? Reviews: Limelight Light Source Illuminating Highlighter by Lorac

Image
Lorac--which is one of my favorite brands--recently released a collection called the Brunch Collection for Spring. Now, at first glance, this collection didn't really appeal to me that much. However, one of the more intriguing pieces in this collection is the I Love Brunch Light Source Illuminating Highlighter in the shade Limelight. Get this: It's a blue highlight. That's right, a blue highlight . I was super curious about it, and it is limited edition, so I thought "how can I pass that up?" Anyway, I immediately raced over to Ulta.com and purchased the Limelight Highlighter. I watched a few reviews online, and everyone said that it was really brightening--especially on pale skin, which is clearly my MO--so I was very excited to try it out. Before, I get too far into this review, I should probably tell you that this highlight retails for $23 , which is the normal price for Lorac's highlights, and, as I said before, it is limited edition . As far as I know...
