Spring Empties

It has been a MINUTE since I did an empties blog. So, as you can imagine, I have a small mountain of empties to share with you. So, grab a snack and settle in because this is gonna be a long one. I know it's technically summer now (although our weather is not super summer-y at the moment), but I'm going to call this Spring empties because I used up most of these things during the spring. So, let's dive in!

Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly by MAC - MAC's Paint Pots are the only eyeshadow primers I use. I've used up a couple of these paint pots over the past few years, and they're far and away the best eyeshadow primers I've ever used. They give the eyeshadow a really good base to stick too, and they're very opaque, so they cover any texture or discoloration in your eyelids. It's a bit like using a concealer as an eye primer, but concealers always crease when I use them as eye primers, and the paint pot never creases on me. I already have a new paint pot, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase them.

Mineral Veil Finishing Powder by BareMinerals - I got this powder sample as some sort of gift with purchase. I really like BareMinerals products, and I've definitely used this powder in the past. It's a really nice finishing powder, and I definitely recommend it. The only problem is that it's a bit pricy, which is why I'm not buying it anymore. However, if you have more money in your budget for setting powder, I highly recommend this product.

Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara by Tarte - My reaction to this mascara is "eh." It was good, but not fantastic. Honestly, I could take it or leave it. I've used worse mascaras, but I've also used better. If you're in the market for a new mascara, I recommend picking up the Maybelline Snapscara.

Climax Mascara by NARS - I struggle to recommend this mascara because it's stupidly expensive. Personally, I could never justify spending $24 on a mascara. I got a sample of this mascara, which is why I was able to review it. I really did like it a lot, so I would recommend it if you don't mind spending the money. However, if you can't afford it, I wouldn't sweat it. Try out the Maybelline Snapscara instead.

Airspun Translucent Extra Coverage Loose Face Powder by Coty - I've been using the Coty airspun powder for a while now, and I swear by it. It makes my skin look so smooth and flawless, and it really locks in your makeup. Plus, it's cheap and it smells great. Perfect setting powder? I think so.

Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder (Snow Rose) by NYX - So, this highlighter was nice. It was a very pretty duochromatic pink shade, but, for whatever reason, I just never found myself reaching for it (especially because mine came broken *tears*). So, I decided I needed to use it up, so I started mixing this highlighter with my setting powder. I know that that sounds insane, but it actually looked fine. It just made my skin a bit more glow-y (of course, you have to be careful not to use too much, or you'll start to look pink).

Control Freak Eyebrow Gel by NYX - This product isn't anything special. Basically, it's just a clear eyebrow gel. However, I keep repurchasing it because it's cheap, it works, and it comes in an opaque tube. I already have a new tube in my collection, and I will certainly keep repurchasing it.

Full Coverage Liquid Concealer by Ulta - I reviewed this concealer fairly recently, so I don't want to talk about it too much. Basically, I just didn't love it. So, I won't be repurchasing it. There are better drugstore concealers out there IMO.

Grow Long Caffeine Ginseng Rapid Grow Leave In by Marc Anthony - Honestly, I don't think this product did much of anything. It's supposed to make your hair grow faster, but I noticed literally no change in my hair. True, I probably didn't use it consistently enough to really be able to tell, but, even so, I won't be repurchasing it.

Naturals Tahitian Gardenia Flower & Mango Butter Curl Defining Detangler by Not Your Mother's - I don't want to talk about this product too much because I feel like I write about it in every empties post. I use this almost every day to make my hair easier to comb out. I feel like my hair tangles very easily, and I end up pulling a lot of hair out as I try to comb out the tangles. This really helps with that problem. I already have a new bottle, and I'll keep repurchasing.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion by Clinique - This is a really nice moisturizer. Clinique makes great skincare products (shocker, right?). This is my everyday day time moisturizer, and I find it very moisturizing (duh) and refreshing. I also enjoy that it's very light and non-greasy. This particular product was a sample size, but I plan to buy the full size.

Photofocus Primer Water Spray by Wet n' Wild - I don't really have strong feelings about this primer spray. I thought it was pretty good, but I don't know if it's something you have to run out and buy right now. It was a nice, light primer that gave my makeup a bit of an umph, but not too much. I don't think I would repurchase it, but if you're looking for a cheap primer spray, this is probably a good option for you.

Vitamin C Serum by Mario Badescu - This is a great serum. I wear it almost every night underneath my night cream, and it always leaves my skin feeling nourished and soft and healthy. It is extremely pricy, so I only buy it when it's on sale or when I have a coupon of some sort. However, if you don't mind paying more for skin care, I would recommend this serum.

Super Smooth Body Lotion in Moonlight Path by Bath & Body Works - I really enjoy B&BW lotions; they're moisturizing, they smell great, and they're affordable. What's not to like? Moonlight Path is also one of my favorite B&BW scents. I mean, I've gone through so many Moonlight Path products, I'm surprised that there are any left in the store. I'll definitely continue to repurchase Moonlight Path and B&BW products.

Shower Gel in Bourbon Strawberry & Vanilla by Bath & Body Works - As you can tell, I'm really into B&BW products. One of my favorite products is their shower gel. I feel like it's a really great shower gel because the scents linger on the skin, their moisturizing, and a little bit of product goes a long way. I got this particular product on sale. I don't love the scent (I think it's too sweet), but I enjoyed using it, and I would recommend it if you like sweet scents.

Ultra Shea Body Cream in Dark Kiss by Bath & Body Works - I really enjoy B&BW lotions; they're moisturizing, they smell great, and they're affordable. What's not to like? This (Dark Kiss) is not my favorite scent; it's a little too sweet for me. However, I'm pretty sure I got it on some sort of extreme sale, so *shrug*. I recommend this formula, although, as I said, the scent is not my favorite. Of course, I'll definitely continue to repurchase B&BW lotions.

All About Eyes by Clinique - I've talked about this eye cream before, so I don't want to go into too much detail about it. However, I just want to say that this is a great eye cream. It's very refreshing, it's very moisturizing, and it really keeps my dark circles in check. I really recommend this product, but it is EXPENSIVE. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. However, if you want to splurge, you should pick this product up.

Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu - I've been using this product for a long time to deal with breakouts. It's great if you have occasional problems with pimples. I highly recommend it, and I've already repurchased it.

Fix+ (in Rose) by MAC - I go through so much Fix+ that I might as well be bathing in it. I love soaking my face n Fix+. Not only does it extend the wear time of your makeup, it also gives your skin a fresh, glowy appearance. I think everyone knows about Fix+, but, if you don't, I can't recommend it enough.

Coconut Cleansing Wipes by Yes To - I used up four packs of these makeup remover wipes this spring. If that isn't an endorsement, I don'r know what is. I've loved these wipes for a long time, and I can't recommend them enough.

Clean AF Cleansing Wipes by Patchology - I reviewed these makeup wipes recently on my blog. In fact, I liked them so much that they might be my new go to wipes. I already have four back up packs in my drawer, and I intend to keep repurchasing.

Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack by Tony Moly - I really love this night cream. It's very invigiorating and refreshing, and it leaves your skin silky soft in the morning. Unfortunately, it looks like Ulta no longer carries this product, so I don't know if I'll be repurchasing this, but I would recommend it if you happen to come upon it.

Let me know what you used up recently in the comments!
