New to My Collection: Spring and Summer 2019
Guys, I've been shopping A LOT lately. It seems like there have been so many good sales and deals lately, way too good to pass up. So, I thought I'd put together a new to my collection blog; I haven't done one of these in a while, so I thought I'd share some of the products I picked up recently.
Peppermint Twist Goat Milk Lip Balm by Dionis - I wear lip balm everyday, and my favorite brand of lip balm is Dionis. It's cheap, and the formula is very creamy and moisturizing. Plus, the brand makes great scents. I ran out of the Dionis lip balm that I was using, so I picked up this balm in their peppermint scent. It's very refreshing, and, more importantly, very moisturizing. I highly recommend it.
Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream by Mario Badescu - My favorite eye cream is Clinique's All About Eyes. Unfortunately, however, it's quite expensive, so I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. So, I decided to pick up the Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream by Mario Badescu, which is $18. The brand says the product "promotes a brighter, more radiant under-eye," which sounds great to me. I've been using the eye cream for a couple of weeks, and so far it seems pretty good. It hasn't made a huge difference in my eyes, but I do think it has made my under eyes a little brighter and more moisturized. So far, I'm pretty happy with this product, so it might replace the Clinique eye cream for me. I'll keep you updated!
Fine Line Correcting Serum 0.2% Retinol by Revolution Skincare - I picked up this serum because I'm trying to prevent fine lines from developing on my skin before they start appearing. I thought this would be a good way to dip my toes into this kind of preventative skincare, so I thought I'd try this serum out. Now, I've only been using it a couple of days, so I don't have much to say about it. I don't expect to see any changes in my skin because, if this product works, I won't, but I'll keep you updated.
So Juicy Plumping Gloss in QT by ColourPop - I reviewed the So Juicy Plumping Gloss formula a few months ago, so I don't want to talk about it in too much detail here. In fact, I like it so much that I picked up a bunch of new shades. This shade, QT, is a clear gloss with pink glitter; ColourPop calls it an opalescent pink. It's a little boring on its own, but it looks lovely over lipstick.
Crème Gel Liner in Swerve by ColourPop - I've purchased the Crème Gel Liners by ColourPop in the past, but I had to throw a bunch of them away because they seemed to dry out and crumble really quickly. I haven't wanted to try the liners since then, but, when I was placing a ColourPop order a few weeks ago, I decided to throw a liner into my cart for old time's sake. I'm glad I did because this is a really nice liner. It's very creamy and pigmented, and it lasts all day. It hasn't dried out yet, but I'll definitely keep you updated.
Loose Pigment in the Scorpion by ColourPop - KathleenLights -- one of my favorite YouTubers -- collaborated with ColourPop to create loose pigments a few months ago. I'm not ordinarily interested in loose pigments, so, at first, I wasn't interested in the collab. However, after watching some reviews, I decided to pick up a few pigments. I decided to grab the Scorpion, which is a deep burgundy with some shimmer, because I really like red eyeshadow. It's a pretty shade, and it's very pigmented. However, I do find that these pigments are tough to blend. Plus, they are messy to apply. However, if you're looking for a really rich red pigment, I would totally recommend this product.
Loose Pigment in the Scales by ColourPop - KathleenLights -- one of my favorite YouTubers -- collaborated with ColourPop to create loose pigments a few months ago. I'm not ordinarily interested in loose pigments, so, at first, I wasn't interested in the collab. However, after watching some reviews, I decided to pick up a few pigments. One of the shades I picked up was the Scales, which is a cool toned pink full of blue glitter. Out of all the shades in the collection, I think this one is among the most wearable. For me, it's a great every day shade. It is a little tough to blend, so you have to work quickly when you use these shadows. It's also a tough shadow to apply; it's messy to work with, as are all loose pigments. However, if you can overlook those things, this is a great product.

So Juicy Plumping Gloss in Round About by ColourPop - I reviewed the So Juicy Plumping Gloss formula a few months ago, so I don't want to talk about it in too much detail here. In fact, I like it so much that I picked up a bunch of new shades. This particular shade -- Round About -- is probably the best shade in the So Juicy line. It's a milky, neutral pink; ColourPop calls it "soft pink." I think a lot of people would get a lot of use out of this gloss. It's the perfect gloss to wear alone or to top a lipstick. Plus, I love the name of this shade. It reminds me of one of my favorite songs: Roundabout by Yes.
So Juicy Plumping Gloss in Partly Rowdy by ColourPop - I reviewed the So Juicy Plumping Gloss formula a few months ago, so I don't want to talk about it in too much detail here. In fact, I like it so much that I picked up a bunch of new shades. This shade -- Partly Rowdy -- looks prettier in the tube than it does on the lips. It's a peach, neutral gloss full of silver glitter. However, the silver doesn't really translate to the lips. All the same, it's a nice neutral gloss, and I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of it.
So Juicy Plumping Gloss in She's Here by ColourPop - I reviewed the So Juicy Plumping Gloss formula a few months ago, so I don't want to talk about it in too much detail here. In fact, I like it so much that I picked up a bunch of new shades. This shade -- She's Here -- is kind of a brown-toned neutral shade with some gold glitter. I really like this shade; in fact, it might be my favorite. I find myself reaching for it all the time; it's the perfect shade to throw on over a nude lipstick. I think I'll get a lot of use out of this shade, and I think it would appeal to most people.
Super Shock Shadow in Light Up by ColourPop - I picked up this shadow because I was looking for one more thing to add to a ColourPop order to get to the shipping minimum. This shade was a collaboration with KathleenLights, and it's a really pretty rose shade with gold glitter. It's not an everyday or neutral shade in my opinion, but I think it can create some lovely looks. I really like the Super Shock formula; if you like these sorts of colors, I highly recommend this shadow.
