Am I Glistening Yet? Glisten Up Mist by Fourth Ray Beauty Review

If you know me, you know I love to GLOW. I'm here for glowy makeup. I'm here for glowy foundation. I'm here for highlight. I love it all. So, when I saw that Fourth Ray Beauty was releasing their Glisten Up Vitamin C Mist, I knew I had to pick it up.

(In case you don't know, Fourth Ray Beauty is ColourPop's sister brand. They focus on skin care, and they're owned by the same people who own ColourPop. You can buy their stuff on the ColourPop website.)

This product retails for $12, and Fourth Ray claims it hydrates your skin and gives you a "radiant complexion." In essence, it's a glowy setting spray, although I think you could use it as a primer as well. The spray is infused with "micro fine shimmer" and Fourth Ray says it "delivers a subtle glow."

I've had this mist for  a couple of weeks now, and I've had plenty of time to test this product out, so I can say with total certainty that this is one situation in which the product does exactly what it claims to do. It does give you a subtle glow. It does make your face look radiant, and I LOVE IT.

I mean, this is truly an AMAZING setting spray. My hat comes off to ColourPop on this product because they really hit it out of the park with this release. It makes your skin look so GORGEOUS; it's unbelievable. It gives you a really beautiful glow and just gives you that "lit from within" look.

Plus, it makes your skin look super smooth and air brushed because the shimmer in the spray deflects the light away from your face. It's really the perfect finishing touch to your makeup if you want to GLOW. I use it all the time, and I imagine I'll use it even more in the winter when my skin is more dry. I also think it would be beautiful in your hair if you want to give it a shimmery glow.

When I bought this spray, I was a little concerned that it was just going to be a straight up glitter spray (like the glitter sprays Bath and Body Works made circa 2003). However, that is not the case. It's not an intimidating product, and it makes you look incredibly STUNNING.

In terms of packaging, I think Fourth Ray had room to improve. The spray-er on this bottle doesn't produce a super fine mist, so you have to hold it about a foot away from your face to prevent getting huge droplets of setting spray on your face. However, for me, that's not a big deal.

Now, obviously, this setting spray isn't going to be for everyone. If you like to be matte, this is not for you. I'm also not sure if people with oily skin would enjoy this product.

My only other concern about this product is the price. As I said, it's $12, which -- in my opinion -- is a little expensive for a ColourPop/Fourth Ray Beauty. However, this is a great product, so I'm willing to spend the money. You also get quite a bit of product, so I do think you're getting a decent value for your money.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic product.
