Summer 2019 Empties

It's been a while since I've written an empties post on this blog. As you can probably imagine, I've accumulated PILES of empties since my last empties post, so today I want to talk about the products I've used up over the summer and if I'm planning to repurchase them. Let's dive into it!

(I also chatted about these empties on my YouTube channel, so check out that video if you want!)

Citrus Brush Cleaner by Sephora - I've had this in my collection for a while, and, to be honest, I sort of forgot I had it. Obviously, it's a spray brush cleaner from the Sephora collection. It's a pretty decent cleanser, and it makes your brushes smell amazing, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing it; Ecotools makes a much better brush shampoo that's cheaper.

Fix + by MAC - I go through Fix + like it's water, which is a problem because it's very expensive water ($27 a bottle, cough, cough). However, it really is a fantastic setting spray if you really want your makeup to sink into your face and look very natural. I have a couple of back up bottles, and I'll certainly keep repurchasing.

Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater by Mario Badescu - I don't know why I keep buying this this facial spray. I've gone through several bottles, but it doesn't really do anything for my skin or my makeup. When I have it, I usually just use it as a primer or as a refreshing spray on days I'm not wearing makeup. As I said, I don't think it really does anything, so I probably won't repurchase.

Strengthening Grow Long Anti-Breakage Oil by Marc Anthony - I use hair oils all the time to keep down the frizz in my hair and add a little moisture to my extremely dry hair. I thought this product was fine; it did what I wanted it to do. However, I have a ton of hair oils in my collection right now, so I won't be repurchasing this any time soon.

The Fab Pore Purifying Foam Cleanser by Soap & Glory - I've been using this facial cleanser for a long time now, and I really enjoy it. It's affordable, smells great, and -- most importantly -- cleans my face. I already have a new bottle, and I'll definitely keep purchasing it.

Prime Light Strobing + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer by Milani - This primer was extremely mediocre. It did add some glow and illumination to my skin, but I don't think that it made much of a difference to my makeup or skin over all. This wasn't a bad primer by any means, but I have other primers that I prefer, so I won't be picking this up again.

Makeup Brush Shampoo by Ecotools - This is a wonderful product. I use Ecotools' brush shampoo every time I clean my brushes, and it does a great job of getting them clean quickly. A little bit of product goes a long way, so the bottle lasts for a long time. Plus, this is an extremely affordable product. I believe it's only $5 or $6. I already have a new bottle, and I'll certainly keep repurchasing it.

Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 with Helioplex by Neutrogena - I use this sunscreen every day, whether or not I'm wearing makeup. It's an absolute necessity to me because it protects my skin. I like this sunscreen in particular because it's not greasy and doesn't change the way makeup applies to my skin.

Ultra-Rich Body Butter in White Flowers by Ulta - I picked up this lotion a while back when I was traveling because I forgot to bring lotion with me. It smelled very nice a floral, but the formula was not great. The lotion never seemed to sink into my skin, and it left my hands feeling very greasy. I certainly won't be repurchasing.

Clean AF Cleansing Wipes by Patchology - I used up 5 packs of these Patchology wipes. Five! I wrote a whole review of them, so I'm not going to go into too much detail about them. Suffice it to say that I love these wipes and will continue to repurchase.

Coconut Oil by Spectrum Organics - I use coconut oil everyday on my skin and sometimes on my hair. I go through one jar every few months, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase. It's a great thing to use to remove your makeup.

Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack by Tony Moly - I've been using this sleeping mask for a while, and I really enjoy it. It's very refreshing and moisturizing on the skin. Plus, it's affordable and the packaging is adorable. I'll definitely keep repurchasing it!

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion by Clinique - I really love Clinique's skin care products, and their moisturizers are no exception. I used up a sample of their Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, and I liked it so much that I went out and bought a full-sized Clinique moisturizer. If you're looking for really good skin care and you don't mind spending a little more money, I really recommend Clinique products.

Hydration Booster Drops by e.l.f. - I picked up these hydration drops about a year ago when I was placing an order on e.l.f.'s website. I thought "sure, I like hydration, I'll get that." This is a very affordable product, so I don't want to knock it too much, but I didn't really notice much of a difference when I was using this product. It did give a little extra moisture to my skin, but the effect was minimal. If you're looking for hydration, I recommend picking up a regular moisturizer. I won't be repurchasing.

Antioxidant Booster Drops by e.l.f. - I love e.l.f. as a brand, but I don't think this product did anything for my skin. I noticed literally zero difference. Maybe this product would be effective for other people, but it's a miss for me. I definitely won't be repurchasing.

Naturals Tahitian Gardenia Flower & Mango Butter Curl Defining Detangler by Not Your Mother's - I've gone through so many bottles of this Detangler, it's a little ridiculous. It's a great product, and I use it every day to detangle my hair when I brush it out. I already have a new bottle, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase it.

Fresh White Musk Body Spray by Body Fantasies - This is one of my favorite perfumes; it has a lovely, floral, musky scent. Plus, it's super inexpensive. I usually buy it at Wal-Mart, and I wear it all the time. I've already picked up a new bottle, and I'll certainly continue to buy it.

16HR Camo Concealer by e.l.f. - I've reviewed this concealer earlier, so I won't talk about it much now. However, I will say that I disliked it, and I certainly won't be repurchasing it.

Shape Tape Concealer by Tarte - I've written about the Shape Tape Concealer so many times, I don't think it's necessary to describe it again. Everyone in the beauty community has an opinion on the Shape Tape Concealer, so I'll just say that I really enjoy it. I've gone through about a million tubes of this product, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase it.

Photo Focus Concealer by Wet n' Wild - The Wet n' Wild Photo Focus Concealer is my favorite drugstore concealer. It's very dewey and moisturizing, and it has a wonderful, bouncy texture. I've gone through a bunch of tubes of this concealer, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase it.

Shower Gel in Japanese Cherry Blossom by Bath & Body Works - I really love B&BW shower gels. They're really concentrated, so you get a lot of use out of a small amount of product. Plus, the scents are great, and they linger on the skin. I have several back up bottles of B&BW shower gel, and I'll definitely continue to purchase them. The Japanese Cherry Blossom scent is particularly nice.

Lip Balm in Coconut Cream by Dionis - I've been really enjoying Dionis lip balms over the past year or so. They're incredibly creamy and moisturizing, and they're affordable too.  Plus, Dionis has some great flavors/scents. I really enjoyed the Coconut Cream flavor. I've already picked up another lip balm from Dionis, and I'll certainly keep repurchasing.

Light Illusion Liquid Foundation by Flower Beauty - I definitely enjoyed this foundation. It was very dewy and illuminating, and it gives a very flattering finish to the skin. However, I don't think I'll be repurchasing it any time soon. There are other foundations that I enjoy more that are also cheaper. Besides, I have other foundations that I'd like to use up. However, if you do like dewy foundations, you might enjoy this one.

Aromatherapy Hand Cream in Sleep by Bath & Body Works - I love B&BW lotions; they're so rich and moisturizing. Little tubes like this one are great because you can just toss them in your purse. However, I didn't completely love this scent, so I won't be repurchasing this particular lotion.

Aromatherapy 24HR Moisture Butter in Energy by Bath & Body Works - As I said above, I love B&BW lotions. They're extremely rich and moisturizing. I think this particular formula of lotion has been discontinued, but I recommend B&BW's lotions in general. This particular scent is great; it's certainly energizing!

Monsieur Big Mascara by Lancôme - I got a sample of this mascara as some sort of gift with purchase; I was excited to try it because I heard great things about it online. But, in reality, it was just okay. It was a bit too clumpy for me; although, I know a lot of people like that. It's a pretty pricy mascara, so I won't be repurchasing it.

All About Eyes by Clinique - I really enjoy this eye cream. I've gone through several tubs, and I really think it refreshes the skin around my eyes. It's so moisturizing and it does wonders for my dark circles; nothing else I've tried comes close to being as good. I'll definitely be repurchasing.

Lip Exfoliator by e.l.f. - I've used up several tubes of this lip exfoliator in the past, and I'm sure I'll continue to gobble them up in the future. It's great because it's less messy than traditional lip exfoliators; you can roll it up and apply it directly to your lips.  Plus, it's extremely cheap. I already have a new tube, and I'll continue to repurchase.

Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Liner in Brown by Rimmel - This eyeliner has been one of my favorites for a long time. It's great for the waterline because it's pigmented, but it doesn't smear (plus, it's affordable). I have a bunch of eyeliners that I need to use up, but I'm sure I'll buy this again in the future.

Cils Booster XL Enhancing Lash Primer by Lancôme - I really liked this lash primer at one time. However, after using it more often, I have to admit that it doesn't make a tremendous difference to your lashes. The mascara you use is infinitely more important. I believe I got this product as some sort of sample, but I won't be repurchasing it.

Let me know what you used up recently in the comments!
