February Empties

I can't believe February is already over! This year is going so fast (I know I say that every month, but that doesn't make it less true). Even though it was a short month, I somehow managed to use up a lot of makeup and skin care products.

Pink Grapefruit Body Butter by The Body Shop ($36) - I've said it before, and I'l say it again, I use up lotion as fast as water. This month, I used up a 13.5 oz container of Pink Grapefruit Body Butter (which is quite a feat because the 13.5 oz size is HUGE). I really like The Body Shop's formula for Body Butter. It's moisturizing, creamy, and all their scents are great. This product is a lifesaver during the winter months, especially if you have dry skin. I especially liked the grapefruit scent, the fruitiness is nice during the winter when it's cold and drab outside.

Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm by Yes To ($15.99) - I bought this product back in August, and I've been using it ever since (it's only .5 oz, but it lasted a long time). I really enjoyed this product; it was very moisturizing, it smelled great, and it kept the skin around my eyes nice and soft. I will definitely be repurchasing this as soon as possible!

Coconut Cleansing Wipes by Yes To ($5.99) - I go through at least one pack of these wipes every month. I always make sure to have an extra pack or two lying around. These wipes are great; they're cheap, they smell great, and they get the job done! What's not to like?

All Bright Micellar 3 In 1 Cleansing Solution by Botanics ($6.99) - This is one product I will not be repurchasing. It is not effective at all! I felt like I might as well have been using water when I tried to use it to take off my makeup. I had to really scrub with this stuff to get any makeup off at all. True, it didn't have the greasy feeling that some eye makeup removers sometimes have, but I'd rather have a little extra oil on my skin and a product that works.

Supercurl Curling Mascara by Urban Decay ($20) - This is a product I probably should have thrown away a long time ago. It's been dried out for ages, but I liked it so much that I couldn't bear to throw it away, and I'm pretty sure that it's been discontinued now. This was wonderful mascara! It made my lashes look longer, fuller, and much, much blacker. I think I like it better than the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara. Ugh, I wish I could repurchase this mascara!

Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder by Maybelline ($7.99) - I wrote about this powder in my Disappointing Products 2016 blog post. I don't like this much as a powder foundation, but it's okay for setting foundation and concealer. I do think that it makes me look a little cakey, but, for the price, it's a good powder. I probably won't repurchase it though because there are too many other drugstore powders that I want to try.

Stay Matte Foundation by Rimmel London ($5.49) - This is another product I wrote about in my Disappointing Products 2016 blog post. However, this eventually started to grow on me. It looks a little cakey and dry on the skin, and it breaks up around my nose and chin. But, other than that, it's okay. I will say that this probably wouldn't work for you if you have a lot of texture on your skin. It really emphasizes all the blemishes on your face.

Renewing Argan Oil Of Morocco Weightless Healing Dry Oil by OGX ($7.99) - I love using argan oil in my hair. I have really dry and frizzy hair naturally, and argan oil is the perfect product for my hair. It's just super smoothing and softening and wonderful. To be honest, I've used higher end argan oils that are better than this OGX oil, but, let's be real, I can't always afford to spend $30 a bottle on a product that I use by the gallon. Well, use by the gallon is probably an exaggeration, but not by much. I feel like I douse my hair in this stuff. I know that some people think putting oil in your hair is gross, but, believe me, if you meet my hair, you'd know that it needs it. I've already repurchased a new bottle of this OGX oil.

Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer by Aveeno ($16.99) - I've been using this as my daily moisturizer for about ten months (so, you obviously get a lot of bang for your buck with this product), and I have no complaints. It wasn't amazing for my skin, but it kept it in good shape. I didn't have any dryness or flakiness while I was using this product. Plus, as I said above, this product lasted a long time. It also has a nice, fresh smell and SPF 15, which are nice bonuses. I've picked up a new daily moisturizer to dry; but, I could definitely see myself coming back to this product in the future.

Cheek Pop Blush in Melon Pop by Clinique ($23.00) -  Honestly, this blush has been empty for a few months now, but I haven't been able to bring myself to throw it away because there's a tiny bit of dried out powder left around the edge. But, it's really too packed down and dried out to use, so I guess I have to throw it away. *Sob*. This is definitely by favorite blush, I even included it in my Ride or Die Makeup Tag blog. I used it everyday for almost a year. It's the perfect pinky peach shade, and it's so flattering on my skin. Like, I can't even describe it. It's sort of like Luminoso by Milani, but it's matte and a little more peachy. It's a little pricey, but I will definitely be repurchasing it eventually.

Well, considering February is a short month, it seems that I used up a ton of products! I hope you enjoyed my empties this month!
