February Favorites: Recommendations

Whew! February just flew past me. It seems like February 1st was just yesterday, and now it's already March! I've always liked that February is a short month because, by the time February rolls around, I'm always ready for winter to be over. Actually, I'm always ready for winter to be over, but especially by the end of February. I mean, March is usually still pretty winter-ish, but just knowing that it's March makes it seem like it's spring. Anyway, I have just a couple of favorites this month, as I haven't really been trying anything new with makeup lately.

Boudoir Eyes Eyeshadow Palette by Too Faced - I sort of forgot that I had this palette (well, I didn't forget about it, but it got buried under my mountain of eye shadow palettes); I've had it for a while, and I really liked it when I first got it, but then I got other palettes and this palette kind of fell off my radar. But, for some reason, I dug it out this month, and I've really been loving it. This palette is full of purplish, pinkish, gray, and silverish shadows; I know that sounds really out there and intense, but, honestly, these shadows are so soft and beautifully understated. They're like pigmented and subtle at the same time. Does that make sense? Not to mention that these shadows have that wonderful, super blendable Too Faced Formula. I've been using this palette all month long to create kind of soft, romantic, but slightly smoky looks. Does that make sense? Probably not. I just like this palette, okay?

Swimmables Eye Pencil by Cargo - I got this eyeliner as a sample when I bought my You Had Me at Aloha palette (which I'll be reviewing soon!), and I'm really impressed with it. I have mine in the shade Black Sea, and it's super pigmented and goes on very smoothly. Also, it's waterproof (which, I guess, is why it's called Swimmable), so it doesn't smudge or run. It stays in place all day, and that's why it's a favorite this month.

Amor Prohibido Lipstick by MAC - This is one of the new MAC lipsticks from the Selena Quintanilla Collection by MAC. This is a sheer, pinkish brown nude lipstick with a glaze finish. It is sheer, but you can build it up to be more opaque. I like it a lot to wear to work because it's so neutral and understated but still flattering and gorgeous.

Anyway, those are all the favorites I have this month! I know it was a short blog, but, hey, February is a short month. I'll see you next month in Spring!
