New to My Collection (September 2017)
I purchase a lot of beauty and personal care items (I know that this is shocking news to everyone). But, in the grand scheme of things, I only talk about a very small proportion of products that I buy on my blog. If something doesn't warrant a full review, doesn't make it into a favorites blog, doesn't make it into a haul blog, or doesn't make it into a disappointing products blog, I'm probably not going to talk about it. And that's a problem for me because I believe in no makeup left behind!
So, I want to start a new category of blog posts on my blog where I talk about products that are (fairly) new to my collection and that aren't likely to be in other posts. Basically, this is just a way to give you more thoughts on more products more quickly.
So, without further ado, let's get into it!
Rosehip Oil - This is a step that I've recently added to my nighttime routine. One of my friends recommended rosehip oil as a great moisturizer, and I have to say that I agree. It's a dry oil, so it's not super heavy or greasy on the skin. I use this mainly to moisturize and nourish my skin, but it's also supposed to be good for wrinkles, stretch marks, and scars. It's also really gentle on the skin. The friend that recommended it to me has extremely sensitive skin, and this didn't irritate her at all. I use an extremely light layer of this oil at night before applying my other nighttime products. I got mine from Amazon, but I don't think it really matters where you buy it or what brand it is. Honestly, I haven't seen a huge change in my skin since I've been using this product, but if you have aging skin or skin concerns, this could be really good for you.

Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo by EcoTools ($5.99) - If you're like me, you hate to clean your makeup brushes. Like, I enjoy having clean brushes, it's just such a pain to get them clean, and then you have to give them time to dry. It's just too much for me to deal with as a human. Another big deterent to cleaning brushes is the cost of brush cleaner. Like, it's not prohibitively expensive, but I feel like I use a ton of product whenever I clean my brushes, and most brush cleaners are just too expensive to repurchase every month or every other month. You know what I mean? Anyway, that's why I love this brush shampoo! IT'S SO CHEAP. (ProTip: I bought mine on Amazon; it's more expensive if you buy it from Ulta). Not only that, but you only have to use the tiniest amount of product to get your brush clean, so I feel like this will last me a really long time. I highly recommend this product.
Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu ($17) - So, as I said above, I don't really have acne (excuse me while I thank my lucky stars), but I do occasionally have little break outs, so I like to always have a spot treatment for emergencies. Lately, I've been wanting to try a new spot treatment, and I landed on this product, and it's been working fairly well for me. Mario Badescu says it works virtually overnight, and I think that's an exaggeration. But, after using this product for three or four days, you'll definitely start to see a difference. It's also supposedly safe for sensitive skin, which is really great.
