New to My Collection: Mini ColourPop Haul
It seems like every time I turn around, ColourPop has released ten new products. Okay, that might be a bit of exaggeration, but there have certainly been quite a few people putting in some overtime over at ColourPop headquarters recently because they've come out with a ton of new stuff over the past couple of months. Consequently, I've placed quite a few ColourPop orders recently. I've bought some new palettes and other big releases, but I've also picked up quite a few smaller, random products at the same time. Instead of reviewing each product separately, I decided to roll them all together in one place:
Super Shock Shadow in I Heart This - For years, I thought I disliked the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow formula. When ColourPop first became popular, I tried a super shock shadow and didn't like it. So, after that, I avoided the super shock shadows. When the ColourPop Disney collection launched a few months ago, I decided to give the super shock shadows another try, and I picked up a few shadows from that collection. Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed those shadows. So now, of course, I've decided I have to get my hands on as many super shock shadows as possible. I recently picked up a few new shadows, including the shade I Heart This. It's a great everyday shade. ColourPop describes it as "taupe with a silver ultra-glitter," which is quite accurate. I really like wearing this shadow all over the lid with a cool-toned matte shade in the crease.
Super Shock Shadow in Koosh - This Super Shock Shadow is very similar to I Heart This, so I probably didn't to buy it. On the other hand, my makeup collection is full of things I probably didn't need to buy. ColourPop describe it as a "metallic icy silver taupe," which is pretty accurate if you ask me. It's a fairly neutral shade, so it will probably fit in well with your collection if you like subtle makeup.
Super Shock Shadow in Prickly Pear - This shade is probably one of my favorite new Super Shock Shadows. It's a difficult shade to describe. In some ways, it's very basic; however, it's also very unique. It has a mauve toned, pinkish-purplish base, but it's full of gold glitter. That kind of shade probably doesn't sound very neutral, but it can look subtle or bold depending on the other shadows you use. I think this is a very versatile shade, and I feel like I'm going to get a lot of use out of it.
Super Shock Shadow in Frog - Frog is a beautiful shade, especially if you like pink. ColourPop describes it as a silvery purple, but it looks pretty pink to me. This is a beautiful, silvery, glittery shade. However, it is a little sheer, so you might want to layer it over another shadow.
Ultra Satin Lip in Mija - A little while ago, ColourPop launched a collection with Becky G. I picked up the palette from that collection (review coming soon), but I also grabbed one of the lip products: the Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Mija. I really like ColourPop's Ultra Satin Lip because it's the best of both worlds. It's not dry like a matte lip, and it doesn't crack and crumble. On the other hand, it's more long-wearing and smudge resistant than traditional lipsticks. The shade Mija is a very neutral, peach toned shade. It looks great with warm toned looks, and it's a great everyday shade for work or school.
No Filter Loose Setting Powder - I picked this product up because I was running out of my setting powder, and I figured I would grab this one and try something new. I know this product isn't really new, but I was never really tempted to buy it before because, in the past, I've always had a lot of other powders to use. I've been trying this powder out for a while now, and I have to say that I'm actually kind of disappointed by it. It's just so dry. Now, that sounds silly because powders are supposed to be dry by their very nature. However, this one just makes my skin look really dried out in a very unflattering way. The texture is super dry too; it almost has a gritty, sandy texture, which I don't love. I'm guessing people with oily skin would enjoy this product, but it's not for me.
Pressed Powder Shadow in Bassline - I've been trying to put the brakes on buying more ColourPop single shadows because I find that I tend to grab my ColourPop palettes a lot and kind of ignore my other ColourPop shadows. However, I've been eyeing Bassline for a while. It's a cool, silvery blue shimmer shade that's very unique. I have been a little disappointed by this shadow because it's very sheer (more like a topper than an actual shadow), but I like it nonetheless.

Super Shock Shadow in Falling Up - As I explained above, I recently discovered that I actually like enjoy ColourPop's super shock shadows. I picked up a few of these shadows, including the shade Falling Up. Falling Up is from ColourPop's holiday collection, and it's actually very unique. ColourPop describes it as "icy taupe with pink & blue glitter." That's true, but it's really beautiful and unique because it can pull either cool or warm toned depending on the other shadows you use. Personally, I like to combine this shadow with berry-toned shades. I think you can create some really lovely and unique looks with this shadow.
