New to My Collection (October 2017)

Guess who's back? Back again. It's me, with a new "new to my collection" post! This is a series I started a few weeks ago where I talk about products that are new to me but are not necessarily in favorites or disappointing products posts. I try a lot of new makeup all the time, but, unless it makes it into a favorites blog or a disappointing products blog, I'm unlikely to talk about it. So, I've started doing these blogs to give you more thoughts about more products.

Coconut Curls Styling Milk by OGX - Girl (or boy, or cat; I don't know who I'm addressing here), if anyone knows about having dry hair, it's me. As I'm typing to you, it's been approximately 10 days since I last washed by hair, and it's bone dry. Not a drop of grease anywhere! So, I need serious help with hair moisture, which is why I picked up this product. I use this product after I wash my hair; I work it into my hair when it's still damp. Quite honestly, I don't know if this does anything for me. Obviously, I don't use it very often, so it's tough to tell If I'm seeing a difference. According to OGX, this product is supposed to "enhance natural softness, boost decadent spirals, and tame frizz for beautiful tumbling waves with bounce and shine." Frizz is something I really struggle with, and, even if I use this product, I still struggle with frizz. However, I do think it makes my hair softer. All and all, this product is okay. I probably wouldn't repurchase it, but I do have unusual hair, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Coconut Curls Moisture Mousse by OGX - This is another product that I use after washing my (extremely dry hair). My experience with this product is more of less the same as with the Coconut Curls Styling Milk. I can't really tell if this product is doing anything for me. Ya know? However, I do feel like my hair is dryer, rougher, and more frizzy if I don't use this product. So, I think it's worth using. However, I don't feel like this is a mind blowing product or anything. You know? I probably wouldn't repurchase this product.

Grow Long Caffeine Ginseng Rapid Grow Leave In by Marc Anthony - This is another hair product that I have mixed feelings about. Again, I don't really feel like it does a lot for my hair. I don't notice significant hair growth, and I feel like it can sometimes leave a sticky residue. However, I don't think I'm using it as often as I'm supposed to, so I'm going to keep testing this out and keep an open mind. I do like the concept of this product though, so I generally like the idea of it, and I want it to work.

Butter Bronzer Murumuru Butter Bronzer by Physicians Formula - Guys, you already know about this bronzer. Actually, I think everyone in the English speaking world knows about this bronzer. It's like the most famous bronzer on planet earth. It took me a while to get this bronzer because bronzing has never appealed to me. I'm vampire pale, so the idea of bronzing for me is a little comical for me. However, a few months ago, I decided I wanted to try bronzing, and I picked up this bronzer. This is really the only bronzer I have, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I do like it. I don't bronze very often, and I only bronze my forehead, but, I do feel that it works for my skin tone (although I have to use a light hand).

Daily Hydration Moisturizer by e.l.f. - I don't really have any strong feelings about this moisturizer. It's an incredibly ordinary moisturizer. I feel like it hydrates my skin, but it's not doing anything incredible for me, if you know what I mean? If you have dry skin, this probably wouldn't be enough moisture for you, but it works pretty well for me.  If you just want a super basic, run-of-the-mill moisturizer, and you don't want to break the bank, I think this would be a good option.

Happy Birthday Palette by NYX - I got this palette as the Ulta birthday gift (Ulta and Sephora always gives you some sort of gift for your birthday) back in August. Right after I got it, I swatched it and was not impressed, so I didn't get around to actually using it on my eyes until a few weeks ago. Although this swatches terribly, it's actually not bad on the eyes. There's nothing very special about these shadows, but on the eyes they're decently pigmented and blend fairly well. Plus, a lot of the shadows in this palette are very neutral, so I feel like this palette is very wearable.

Airspun Translucent Extra Coverage Loose Face Powder by Coty - I wanted to try this powder because I've heard that it's a classic, staple beauty product. Apparently, this powder has been around since 1935, which I find extraordinary. If people have been using this powder since 1935, there must be something good about it, right? Anyway, I think this powder is okay. You really have to use a light hand with it because it can get a little cakey and heavy on the skin. It's very mattifying, so it might be good for you if you have oily skin. Personally, I like using this to set my under eyes. It has a strong, perfume scent as well, but I like that. If you don't like products with scents, this probably isn't for you.

Anyway, that's what's new to my collection this month!
