October Empties
Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes by Yes To - I wrote about this product recently in a disappointing products blog. Partially, it was my own fault that I didn't like this product. I thought that these were going to be makeup removing wipes, and it turned out that they were actually some sort of acne-fighting, cleansing wipes. Okay, fine. That's my fault for not paying attention to the description. I decided I would try to use these wipes to clean my face after removing makeup, and they didn't work for that either. I still had to go back and wash my face with another cleanser. So, my question is this: how am I supposed to use this product? These wipes don't seem to serve any purpose. I did use these up because I spent money on them, but using them just seemed like an extra, useless step in my routine. If you struggle with acne, you might have a use for this product, but I don't, and I won't be repurchasing this.
ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Brown and Black by Rimmel London - This is one of my favorite eyeliners for the waterline of all time. I stopped using it for a while because I was trying to use up other eyeliners, but this liner really is bomb, and I can't recommend it enough. It's very creamy, pigmented, and long lasting. I ran out of my brown liner completely; I had a tiny bit left of the black liner, but it was so dried out that I decided to toss it. I already have a backup of the brown liner and will continue to repurchase this liner.
Backlight Priming Filter by Becca - I got a deluxe sample of this primer as a free gift with purchase or something like that. I was really excited about it because I had heard amazing things about this primer, but, after going through this sample, I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. I don't see how this is any different from B.A.E. Illuminating Face Primer by Lottie London. To me, they look exactly the same on my skin. Maybe if you had extremely dull skin this would make a big difference to you. But, in my opinion, it's extremely overhyped. You can definitely get the same look for much less money!
Full Exposure Mascara by Smashbox - I got a deluxe sample of this mascara somehow (dude, I love deluxe samples; I'm all about that deluxe sample life). I probably would never have bought this mascara on my own, but, after using up this tube, I have to admit that I'm really glad I tried this mascara. It's decently lengthening and really volumizing. I don't think this mascara is something you need to run out and buy, but if you want a volumizing mascara, you might want to try this one.
Aloe Lotion in Moonlight Path by Bath & Body Works - Over the summer, B&BW released a line of aloe lotions. I picked one up, and I'm just using it up now. My first thought about this is that it's not really a lotion; this is more of an aloe gel, ya know? It feels very nice and refreshing on the skin, but it's not really very moisturizing. Like, I would put this lotion on, and 5 minutes later my skin was thirsty for moisture. I think this would be a nice product to use after you've been out in the sun all day (maybe at the beach or something), but it's not intensely moisturizing, which is what I want in a lotion. So, this isn't a bad product or anything, but I don't think that it works for me, and I won't be repurchasing.

Smooth Oil Mist by Herbalosophy - Honestly, I don't even know where/when I got this product. It's been in my collection so long that it's embarrassing. I guess this product was okay. I don't really have strong feelings about it. It's definitely smoothing; however, it leaves a bit of a residue. I'm sort of indifferent to this product. If you want to buy it, buy it. If you don't want to buy it, don't get it.
Shine Free Oil Control Loose Powder by Maybelline - I'm so happy that I used this powder up! I think I've had it since March or April, and I disliked it from the first time that I applied it. But, I decided that I had to use it up because I spent money on it. First of all, the packaging on this product is really cheap. The cap cracked almost immediately after I started using it, which was annoying. In terms of the actual product, I found it to be very heavy and cakey on the skin. Plus, I purchased the shade light and found it to be rather dark and "orange-y" for lack of a better word. I managed to make this product work by using small amounts of this product, but I wouldn't repurchase it, and I wouldn't recommend it.
Coconut Micellar Cleansing Water by Yes To - I think you guys already know how I feel about Yes To. I think they're a great brand and that they provide a great value for your money. So, when Yes To released micellar water, I was like "yes please!" I don't usually like micellar water, but, because it was made by Yes To, I decided to give it a go. At first, I didn't really like this product, but by the time I got about half way through, I was actually enjoying it. Its's very gentle and non-irritating, it's cheap, and it does a pretty good job of taking off your makeup. I also appreciated that it's not oily, which is always a deal breaker for me.
Cotton Comforting Facial Wipes by Yes To - I've said it before and I'll say it again, Yes To makeup remover wipes are great. I love these cotton wipes, and I use them all the time. I think they're a great basic to have in your collection, and I highly recommend picking up a pack of these wipes.
Anyway, those are the products I used up this month! Let me know what you used up in the comments.
