New to My Collection: January 2019

It's been a while since I've written one of these new to my collection blogs. I've picked up a lot of new products recently, so I have a lot to talk about. Let's get into it.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion by Clinique - I needed a new moisturizer and, fortunately, I got a sample of Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, which I've been wanting to try for a while.  I've only been using it for a few days, but so far I like it! It feels very nourishing and refreshing on the skin, and it's definitely helping me do battle against dry, winter skin. Overall, I'm quite happy with this product, and I think I'll be repurchasing it in the future.

Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Caught In Your Web by Wet n' Wild - I was at Wal-Mart a little while ago, and I saw this highlight, and I was like "yeah, I'll buy that." This highlight is kind of a silvery, icy, purple-white shade, which is right up my ally. I love those sorts of shades. The formula is okay. I'm not a huge fan of the Wet n' Wild formula of highlights; they tend to be kind of flaky and sparkly, and this one is kind of like that, but this one is fine.

Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Glow Watcher by Wet n' Wild - Although I don't usually love Wet n' Wild products, I picked up a bunch of stuff from their Fire & Ice collection (because, you know, Game of Thrones and dragons and stuff, yay!). I really like the packaging on this collection and the shade names are amazing. The highlights are all embossed with a really beautiful dragon, snowflake design, which I love. I don't, however, love this particular shade. It's kind of a bluish, silvery shade that is a little too blinding for comfort. Also, Wet n' Wild highlights tend to be very dusty and glittery, and this one is no exception. It's a pretty product, but I don't really like it very much.

Megaglo Highlighting Powder
in Halo Walkers by Wet n' Wild - This is my least favorite of the Fire & Ice highlights, mostly because it's BLUE. I know that blue highlights are a thing right now, but they're really, really unflattering on my skin.

Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Winter Falls in LA by Wet n' Wild - Out of all the highlights in the Fire & Ice collection, this one is my favorite. It has a pinkish undertone, and it's more flattering on the skin. I'm still not a fan of the formula, but this one is more usable.

Color Icon Bronzer in Queen's Land by Wet n' Wild - As I said above, I was intrigued by the Wet n' Wild Fire & Ice collection. In fact, I was so intrigued that I bought both bronzers from the collection even though I never use bronzer. Ask me if that makes sense. I figured I could maybe use the bronzers as eyeshadows or blushes or something. I just got so excited by the dragons embossed on the powders and the names of the bronzers that I couldn't help myself. Again, I know it makes zero sense.

Color Icon Bronzer in You're Dragon Me Down by Wet n' Wild - As I said above, I bought this product because I was intrigued by the dragon design and the name of the product. Since I have both of these products, I can tell you with a high degree of confidence that these bronzers are virtually the same shade. Seriously, it's really difficult to tell them apart. So, if you happen to stumble upon these bronzers, you definitely only need one.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs - I've been wanting to pick up Daisy for a long time. Daisy is such a beautiful perfume; the notes of the fragrance are violet leaves, wild strawberries, violet petals, jasmine bouquet, musk, and vanilla infusion. Daisy is just a really fresh, feminine scent. There are a lot of floral notes in there, and I really enjoy floral scents. I've loved Daisy for years, but it's really expensive, so it took me until now to pick it up. I ended up buying it with my Ulta points, and, of course, I love it. It's a beautiful, classic scent.

Antioxidant Booster Drops by e.l.f. - I was placing an order from e.l.f.'s website a little while ago, and I needed to add some stuff to get to the shipping minimum, so I ended up picking up these antioxidant booster drops. You can apply them directly to skin or mix them into foundations or moisturizers etc. I haven't tried these drops yet, but I think it's a really cool concept, and I'm excited to try them out.

Hydration Booster Drops by e.l.f. - As I said above, I was placing an order from e.l.f.'s website a little while ago, and I needed to add some stuff to get to the shipping minimum. I ended up buying these hydration drops. My skin has been unusually dry since the winter set in, so I can use any hydration I can get. I haven't tried these drops out yet, but I'm sure excited about them.

Lip Exfoliator in Rose by e.l.f. - I am all about exfoliating my lips. My lips get so dry it's insane, and exfoliating really helps me out. I've had e.l.f.'s lip exfoliator before, and I really like it because it comes in stick form, so it's not messy to use. Last time, I bought the coconut scent (or flavor?), and I really liked it, but this time I decided to try the rose scent, and it's lovely. I highly recommend any of the e.l.f. lip exfoliators.

Way to Grow Long & Strong Conditioner by Not Your Mother's - I've been co-washing my hair for a while (you can read more about that here), but I've found that sometimes I want a more traditional shampoo, so I decided to pick up the Way to Grow Long & Strong shampoo and conditioner. I haven't tried either out yet, but I do want my hair to  grow long and strong, so I'm excited to see if it actually works.

Way to Grow Long & Strong Shampoo by Not Your Mother's - As I said above, I decided to pick up a new shampoo and conditioner for those days when I don't want to co-wash my hair. As I said, I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm excited to give it a go.

Way to Grow Long & Strong Leave-In Conditioner by Not Your Mother's - I'm a big fan of leave in products for hair. I picked this up because who doesn't want their hair to grow long and strong? Also, it was on sale. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited to see if it actually works.

Balancing Scalp Serum by Unwash - I picked this up because I constantly struggle with my hair. It's supposed to "reduce flaking and creates healthy scalp environment." Obviously, I'm in favor of a healthy scalp, and I do struggle with flaking sometimes, so I hope this helps me out. I have a couple of other Unwash products, and I do think they make good stuff. I've only used it once so far, but I haven't noticed much of a difference, but I have high hopes.

Let me know what you picked up recently in the comments!
