September Favorites: Reccomendations
I can't believe we're already in September! It seems like just a few weeks ago we were starting Summer, and now we're already in Fall! I can't believe it! I'm definitely ready for Fall makeup though. I adore Fall makeup. Reds, oranges, and browns are just so much fun to create looks with. It may seem odd, but I just love using red eyeshadow. It's so stunning! Plus, cooler weather means less chance that you'll sweat off all your makeup before noon (my least favorite thing about summer). Anyway, let's get to the favorites:
Fall into Frost Palette by Morphe - I wrote a complete review of this eyeshadow palette a few days ago. Long story short, I ADORE this palette. It has all the shades and shadows you need to create Fall looks. It has all sorts of reds, oranges, purples, and browns. I have so much fun playing with these colors and trying out different looks with them. Plus, these shadows are incredible pigmented, and they're very reasonably priced. It costs $22.99 and comes with 35 shades; that's less than a dollar per shadow (not including shipping). If you've never tried Morphe shadows, this is a stupendous place to start.
Coconut Oil by Nature's Promise - I bought coconut oil because my former roommate was/is a big believer in using coconut oil to remove makeup. I was a little skeptical about it at first, but then I tried it out and it actually works really well. The oil just melts the makeup off my face. It's almost magical. Plus, coconut oil smells amazing and it's really good for your skin. I also use it in my hair. I typically use it as a mask before I wash my hair. I just lather the oil into my hair a few hours before I wash, and it makes my hair nice and soft. Coconut oil is also supposed to stimulate hair growth, make hair stronger, prevent breakage, and add shine. I haven't really been using it long enough to see if it actually does all of those things, but I know that it does wonders for skin, so I'm willing to bet that it does wonders for hair too. I bought my coconut oil from my local grocery store, but I don't think it really matters which brand you buy or where you buy it. As long as it's 100% coconut oil, it should be just as effective.
Sugar Crush Body Wash by Soap & Glory - I've been wanting to try Soap & Glory bath products for like forever (well, for eight months at least). I usually use Bath & Body Works shower gels, but I thought I'd try out Soap & Glory's body wash. It was an excellent decision. This is wonderful body wash and it smells absolutely amazing. It smells like lime and sugar and deliciousness. I absolutely love it. Plus, you get a ton of product for the price. You get 16.2 ounces for $10, whereas Bath & Body Works gives you 10 ounces for $12.50. If you haven't tried Soap & Glory products, I highly recommend them.
Hint of Color Dry Shampoo by Batiste - This is a genius product. Genius. I love dry shampoo, and it's a staple in my hair care routine. However, I have really dark hair and dry shampoo tends to leave white marks in my hair. This dry shampoo is tinted, so it blends with the color of your hair. Is this not the best idea you've ever heard of? I think it's amazing. I have mine in the darkest shade (I believe it's called Divine Dark), and it's great for my dark hair. I never get white marks in my hair with this dry shampoo. Plus, it's a good dry shampoo. Death Valley Dry Shampoo by R + Co is still my favorite dry shampoo, but this has a great formula as well. If I don't want to wash my hair, this product definitely gives me an extra day before I have to wash.
