January Empties

New year = new empties, and boy did I use up some products this month. Buckle up because I have a TON of empties to share with you this month!

Coconut Oil by Nature's Promise - Let me be clear, coconut oil is the real MVP. I adore coconut oil. I use it in my hair, I use it on my face, and I use it to take off makeup. It's a perfect product! Plus, it smells FANTASTIC. You guys know me, I'm all coconut scent all the time; that's just how I roll. I've already repurchased this, plus, I have an extra back up jar.

Sugar Crush Body Wash by Soap & Glory - I wrote about this product in a favorites blog a few months ago. I really liked this product; it's relatively inexpensive, smells great (lime citrus and sugar, yum!), and gets the job done. However, I find that I have to use a lot more of this body wash per shower than I do when I use Bath & Body Works body wash. I don't think it's as concentrated, if that makes sense. Because of that, I probably won't repurchase (although I did buy three Soap & Glory body washes at the same time, so it won't be my last Soap & Glory body wash).

Illumi-Naughty Highlighting and Concealing Pen by Wet n' Wild - I wrote a complete review of this product a few months ago. I liked it, but I probably won't repurchase it because there are other concealers I like more, you have to mix this concealer with other concealers, and it comes with a tiny amount of product.

Rice Bright Skin Cleansing Paste by Pacifica - I keep trying to like Pacifica products and I keep failing. This "cleansing paste" wasn't for me. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't good. I didn't see any benefits or changes in my skin. It just seemed like an extra product/step in my routine that wasn't doing anything for me. I definitely will not be repurchasing.

Into the Wild Triple Moisture Body Cream by Bath & Body Works - I feel like I include Bath & Body Works products in every empties post. What can I say? Bath & Body Works just makes great products, and I use them a lot. It goes without saying that this was a great body cream. How could it be anything else? I'm a particular fan of the "Into the Wild" scent; it's kind of floral and sweet and musky, all at the same time. I think it's been discontinued, but you can probably still find it online.

Coconut Cleansing Wipes by Yes To - I go through a pack of these wipes almost every month. They're some of my favorite makeup wipes. Sometimes I try other wipes, but I always repurchase these wipes eventually. They smell great, they're cheap, and they're gentle on the skin. What's not to like?

Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection - To be honest, this concealer was empty a long time ago. I've been scraping the sides and mixing it with other concealers, trying to get as much concealer out as possible. I loved this concealer; it's super blendable, creamy, and it has great coverage (I wrote about it in a favorites blog, if you want to read more). I would repurchase it, but it's a British product and it's super difficult to get your hands on in the US (if you know of a good way to get it, let me know in the comments!).

Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 with Helioplex by Neutrogena - I am pale. Super pale. Vampire pale. Thus, I really really need to wear sunscreen. The Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 with Helioplex is my favorite sunscreen because it has great SPF coverage and it has the right consistency to be applied under makeup. I've already purchased a new tube, and I can almost guarantee that I will never be without this product.

Shape Tape Concealer
by Tarte - This was a month of using up concealers. This was another concealer that I was scraping the sides of. It was just so expensive and so wonderful that I didn't want to waste a single drop. Every single YouTuber in the world talks about this product, and I've written a whole review, so I'm not going to get into the details of the product; suffice it to say that this is an AMAZING concealer. I probably don't need to say this, but I already have a back up.

Stay High 18 by Redken - I bought this approximately a million years ago, and I've been slowly using it up ever since. I bought it because a hair dresser used it in my hair once and it made my hair very soft and silky. It's supposed to be a volumizing product, but I basically just used it to give my hair a nice texture when I washed it. It's a nice product, and I would recommend it to someone who wants more volume. However, for my hair in particular, I have other products that I like better (like argan oil; I love argan oil), so I won't be repurchasing this.

Oil Absorbing Rice Powder by Palladio - I don't really have a lot to say about this product because I don't really have strong feelings about it. This product was just okay. It was a decent setting powder. Are there setting powders I like better? Yes. Are there setting powders I like less? Definately. Would I buy it again? Maybe. I really hate the packaging (see my disappointing products of 2016 blog), but the product itself isn't bad. Why am I asking myself so many questions? I don't know.

Whew! That was a long one. I hope you enjoyed this empties blog (they're very cathartic to me), and I hope you have a happy, makeup-filled New Year!
