Fall 2019/Winter 2020 Empties

Image
It's been a long time since I've written an empties blog, which is strange because they're some of  my favorites to write. I always feel a little bit proud of all the products I've managed to use up. Anyway, I've used up a lot of makeup products recently, so let's jump into the list. Shower Gel in Waikiki Beach Coconut by Bath & Body Works - B&BW makes great shower gels; their formula is fantastic. I particularly liked this one because it smells like coconut; what's not to like. Fine Fragrance Mist in Moonlight Path by Bath & Body Works - Moonlight Path is one of the classic B&BW scents. I love this fragrance; it's very floral and feminine. I've gone through so many bottles of this fragrance, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase. Aromatherapy 24HR Moisture Butter in Comfort by Bath & Body Works - I buy so many B&BW lotions it's not even funny. This particular scents wasn't my favorite, but the ...

Review: Bambi Eye Mascara by L'Oréal

Image
My willingness to try new mascaras is ENDLESS. Which is why I decided to pick up  L'Oréal's new Bambi Eyes mascara. L'Oréal claims that this mascara delivers "volumized, elongated lashes for a doe-eyed effect," which sounds absolutely perfect for me, so I decided to try it out. I've now been using it for about a month, and I have some THOUGHTS to share. First of all, I'm not seeing the elongating element in this mascara. However, this mascara does deliver nice volume, so I enjoy that . So, does this mascara give a bambi eye effect? I would say the answer is kind of. It definitely makes your lashes look full and dense, but I don't think it gives you the length that I associate with "doe-eyes." Also, I should note that this mascara retails for $11, which I think is reasonable for a L'O...

Disappointing Makeup Products: Fall 2019

Image
It's been a while since I've written a disappointing products blog. However, a lot of products have disappointed me lately, and I want to talk about them. So, without further ado, let's jump into it! Natural Face Palette by Too Faced - I picked this palette up during the recent Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale. I was really excited to try it out because I heard a lot of people raving about it and recommending it in the lead up to the sale. I ended up getting it for 50% off, and I was really excited to try it out. However, after I used it a few times, I realized I have two problems with this palette: 1) the shades don't suit my skin tone and 2) I found the powders to be difficult to blend. They just looked a little patchy on my skin, and, for $44, those powders better blend beautifully. Now, that might just be a problem with the way the formula interacts with my skin type, but this palette just didn't work for me. bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer...
