I try out a lot of makeup. And, when I say a lot, I mean a LOT. Most of it works well for me, but there are always some products that just don't cooperate. And, recently, there have been a lot of products that have let me down. So, I decided to make a list of all the products that have let me down lately. I tried these terrible products so you don't have to. Consider it a public service announcement. You're welcome. Creme de la Creme Palette by ColourPop - I picked this product up from ColourPop's clearance section a few months ago. I was really excited to try it because I thought the shades looked perfect for my skin. Unfortunately, this palette let me down. The highlights just don't have any pigment! Now, I'm a little late to the review party with this product, but I wanted to test it well before I discussed it on this blog. It's been a while since I've written a disappointing products blog. However, a lot of products have disappointed me lately, and I want to talk about them. So, without further ado, let's jump into it! Natural Face Palette by Too Faced - I picked this palette up during the recent Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale. I was really excited to try it out because I heard a lot of people raving about it and recommending it in the lead up to the sale. I ended up getting it for 50% off, and I was really excited to try it out. However, after I used it a few times, I realized I have two problems with this palette: 1) the shades don't suit my skin tone and 2) I found the powders to be difficult to blend. They just looked a little patchy on my skin, and, for $44, those powders better blend beautifully. I follow the trends in the makeup community pretty closely, and recently I've noticed that everyone is really excited about the new e.l.f. Camo Concealer. I've heard it compared to the Tarte Shape Tape concealer, and it seems to be getting great reviews. So, of course, I had to try it out. I picked up the Camo Concealer a few weeks ago, and I've been trying it out for a while, so I think I'm ready to give my review. First of all, I want to say that the price of this concealer is excellent. It's only $5, which is pretty unbeatable. Drugstore prices seem to be gradually raising their prices in general, so it's nice to know that it's still possible to get a good deal. It's avalible in 18 shades, which sounds pretty good. However, when you really look at these shades, there are really only 5 or 6 deep shades, which isn't very impressive. Another month, another empties blog! I used up a lot of products this month, just in time to replace them with approximately 500 and a half new products. Yay! Anyway, let's get into the products that I used up this month. Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer by Tarte - I've written a lot about this concealer (as has everyone else in the makeup universe); it's one of my favorites and I've been through several tubes of this product. It gives really full coverage, and it's very crease resistant. If you haven't tried the Shape Tape concealer yet, I highly recommend it. I'll certainly continue to repurchase it. Recently, I've heard several people on YouTube talking about the Full Coverage Liquid Concealer from the Ulta Collection. The YouTubers that I saw talking about it seemed to really like this concealer, so I thought I'd pick it up and try it out. I've been using this concealer for a few weeks, and I have some thoughts. First of all, let's go over the details. It costs $9 , which is a very affordable price.   The product also comes with .8 ounces ; that's not a ton of product, but it is a good value for the price. This is from the Ulta Collection, so, obviously, you can only purchase it at Ulta . Unfortunately, the shade range for this product isn't very good . There are 12 shades total, but only 2 deep shades, which is pretty bad. In terms of the finish, I would say that this concealer is demi-matte with medium to full coverage . This month was extremely busy for me; I spent a lot of time traveling, moving, and packing to move. Consequently, I don't have a lot of new favorites. If I was wearing makeup, I was mostly using tried and true favorites. However, I do have a couple of new favorites to share with you. Flawless Finish Foundation by e.l.f. - I have four words: I love this foundation. If you know me, you know that I'm a huge fan of drugstore foundations. In my opinion, there's no real reason to buy a high end foundation; quite honestly, drugstore foundations provide almost the same quality. I would say that the Flawless Finish Foundation provides medium to full coverage and a demi-matte, satin finish. It's a beautiful foundation, it's very flattering on the skin, and it's fairly long wearing. On an average day, I get a solid eight hours of wear out of this foundation.
