New to My Collection: Fall 2019/Winter 2020

Image
It's been a while since I wrote a "new to my collection" blog post. I came up with the idea for these posts a while ago as a way to showcase makeup that I recently added to my collection that I wasn't planning to review separately. The idea here is to give you a lot of opinions quickly. So, without further ado, lets jump into chatting about the products that are new to my collection! Creme de la Creme Palette by ColourPop - I wanted to try ColourPop's powder highlight formula, and, when I saw this palette was on sale, I knew I had to pick it up. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy this formula. The shades aren't very pigmented, and they're extremely glittery. I'm not getting a ton of use out of this palette, but, fortunately, it only cost be about $5, so that's okay. Ultra Matte Lip in Saigon by ColourPop - I really like all of ColourPop's lip products; I have a ton of them in my collection, and I use them often. The Ultra Ma

Is it Worth the Hype? Reviewing the Juno & Co Microfiber Sponge

Image
 If you watch makeup YouTube channels, you probably remember that a few months ago people were going crazy over the Microfiber Velvet Sponge by Juno & Co. If you don't remember or don't know, the Microfiber Velvet Sponge is basically just a makeup sponge "made with velvet-soft microfiber bristles and a slanted edge for controlled stippling" (according to Juno & Co.). Anyway, there was a lot of hype over this product and everyone who tried it seemed to love it, so I wanted to try it out. Now, I know that a lot of the hype has died down (let's be real, the internet has a very short attention span), but I wanted to try the sponge, so I picked it up a few weeks ago, and I've been using it for a while. I think I've used it enough to have a pretty solid opinion on this product, so let's dive into the review! First of all, I want to say that this is a pretty sponge. It just looks nice . It's a beautiful shade of blue, and it's very ae

New to My Collection (April 2018)

Image
I buy a lot of makeup, skincare products, and haircare products; I review a very small number of those products on this blog. So, a few months ago, I decided to start this "New to My Collection" series. The point of this series is to talk about products that I wouldn't normally mention on my blog (products that are neither fantastic nor disappointing). It's just a way to review more products more efficiently, and I LOVE reviewing products. Anyway, let's jump into the products that are new to my collection. Oil of Morocco Argan Oil 3-Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Smoothing Cream by Marc Anthony - Sometimes, I see the names of certain products and think, "that company just tried to jam as many descriptive words in there as possible." This is one of the those products; the name is certainly a mouthful. However, on a practical level, I think this product is pretty good. In general, I like and trust Marc Anthony products, and this product is no exception.

New to My Collection (February 2018)

It's been a while since I've written a New to my Collection post. Basically, I write these posts to give myself a chance to talk about makeup products that I wouldn't normally talk about because I don't like or dislike them enough to mention them in other posts or do complete reviews. As a makeup lover, I'm constantly adding new items to my collection, and there's no way I could possibly review every product individually.  In any case, I have a few products to talk about that I picked up recently, so let's jump into it:  Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation by Maybelline - I've tried the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in the past, and I really liked it, so I thought I'd give the dewy version a try (I mean, come on, you guys know how I feel about dewy makeup). After trying both foundations, I have to say that I prefer the Matte + Poreless version. It's a little weird because the Matte + Poreless version isn't really matte;

January Empties

Happy 2018! I don't know about you, but I can't believe it's already 2018. Seriously guys, I feel like the year 2000 was like yesterday. When did it become 2018?? I feel old.  Anyway, now that I've needlessly complained about the passage of time, let's get to my empties from January. I feel like I used up a ton of products this month, so we have a lot to talk about.  Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm by Yes To - I think I've used three or four bottles of Yes To's Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm. I really like this product; it smells great and it hydrates and softens the skin around my eyes. However, I'm not going to repurchase it because this product contains alcohol, and I'm trying to eliminate alcohol from my skin care products. I do think it's a good product, so, if you don't mind alcohol in your skin care products, I would recommend this product to you. Keratin Mist Leave-In Strengthening Treatment by Ch
