September Empties

Image
Another month, another empties blog! I used up a lot of products this month, just in time to replace them with approximately 500 and a half new products. Yay! Anyway, let's get into the products that I used up this month. Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer by Tarte - I've written a lot about this concealer (as has everyone else in the makeup universe); it's one of my favorites and I've been through several tubes of this product. It gives really full coverage, and it's very crease resistant. If you haven't tried the Shape Tape concealer yet, I highly recommend it. I'll certainly continue to repurchase it. Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum by OGX - So, I really like OGX's hair products; they're cheap and they get the job done. I've gone through several bottles of their Coconut Milk Serum. It definitely reduces frizziness and it makes my hair softer and stronger. If you're looking for cheap hair care products, I...

August Empties

Image
Okay, so I used up a lot of makeup in August. A LOT. I'm happy about that because I just moved, and, as always, I'm trying to keep the amount of makeup in my collection under control (how do you think that is going?). Anyway, this is going to be a long blog, so let's jump right into the empties: Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation by Burt's Bees - I wrote an entire review on this foundation a few months ago, so I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here. Basically, this is a really nice foundation if you like light coverage, natural looking foundations. I liked it a lot for days when I wanted to look more natural and to mix with other foundations. If you like more natural makeup, I recommend looking into this foundation. Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 with Helioplex by Neutrogena - I've written a lot about this sunscreen, so I'm not going to go into too much detail here. Basically, I use this sunscreen everyday under my makeup to protect ...

New to My Collection (October 2017)

Image
Guess who's back? Back again. It's me, with a new "new to my collection" post! This is a series I started a few weeks ago where I talk about products that are new to me but are not necessarily in favorites or disappointing products posts. I try a lot of new makeup all the time, but, unless it makes it into a favorites blog or a disappointing products blog, I'm unlikely to talk about it. So, I've started doing these blogs to give you more thoughts about more products. Coconut Curls Styling Milk by OGX - Girl (or boy, or cat; I don't know who I'm addressing here), if anyone knows about having dry hair, it's me. As I'm typing to you, it's been approximately 10 days since I last washed by hair, and it's bone dry. Not a drop of grease anywhere! So, I need serious help with hair moisture, which is why I picked up this product. I use this product after I wash my hair; I work it into my hair when it's still damp. Quite honestly, I don...

June Empties

Image
Guys. I used up a lot--A LOT--of makeup this month. And, when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. I used up so much makeup that I feel like my makeup bag is 10 pounds lighter. Just kidding, I don't keep my makeup in a makeup bag, it would never fit. Anyway, get ready, these are all the products I used up this month: CoverAll Face Primer by Wet n' Wild ($4.99) - I have mixed feelings about a lot of Wet n' Wild products, but this is one product I really like. This primer provided a great base for my makeup, kept my makeup on all day, and was decently moisturizing. I don't know what else anyone could ask for. Granted, I have "normal" skin (not dry, not oily, not a lot of texture issues), so I have good results with almost every primer. Even so, I think this would be a good primer for people with normal to dry skin, and, for the price, you can't beat it. There are some other primers I want to try, so I probably won't repurchase it right now, but I would defini...
