The summer is flying by! I can't believe July is already over. The next time I blink, summer will be over. But, for now, there's still time to rock beautiful, summer makeup looks (and to attend Game of Thrones viewing parties, but there's not a lot of makeup in that show, so I guess it's not really relevant). So, it's the end of March, right? That should mean it's Spring, right? Funny story about that, March was more wintery this year than December. Life is weird, huh? Whew! February just flew past me. It seems like February 1st was just yesterday, and now it's already March! I've always liked that February is a short month because, by the time February rolls around, I'm always ready for winter to be over. It's soft and blendable and luminous and gorgeous. Lately, I've been pairing this blush with intense, holiday eye looks because it's such a subtle blush. It gives you just the perfect amount of color in the cheeks. I've been wearing contact lens for about a year now.  My vision is definitely better than it was with glasses, and contacts are super comfortable. However, wearing eyeliner in your waterline doesn't always mix well with contact lens. When you don't wear contact lens, the natural moisture in your eye can wash away dirt or makeup residue; if that doesn't work, you can usually blink it out. This doesn't always work when you wear contacts because dirt and other residues have a tendency to adhere to your lens. If you have bad vision like me, you probably know that getting dirt or residue on your contacts is the literal worst (well, maybe just the figurative worst). It blurs your vision, and it can be uncomfortable or painful. When I first started wearing contacts, I had major problems with getting eyeliner on contacts. I can't believe we're already in September! It seems like just a few weeks ago we were starting Summer, and now we're already in Fall! I can't believe it! I'm definitely ready for Fall makeup though. I adore Fall makeup. Reds, oranges, and browns are just so much fun to create looks with. It may seem odd, but I just love using red eyeshadow. It's so stunning! Plus, cooler weather means less chance that you'll sweat off all your makeup before noon (my least favorite thing about summer). Today, I was actually cold when I walked outside. Cold! I guess that means that summer is officially over. I had a busy, but fun, summer. August in particular was a super chaotic month for me! July was a long, hot, busy month for me. Quite honestly, I was in a bit of a makeup rut; I didn't really try many new products, and I mostly stuck with looks that were safe and familiar for me. That was mostly because I find it really difficult to wear a lot of makeup when it's really hot outside, and July was a hot, hot month. However, I do have a couple of favorites to share with you. Luminoso by Milani ($8.50) - A little while ago, I wrote about Luminoso by Milani in a haul blog . Luminoso is part of Milani's Baked Blush line, and it's a beautiful, beautiful blush. I had been meaning to buy it for months, and I finally got around to it in early July and wore it non-stop after that. Luminoso is a gorgeous peachy-pink with coral undertones and a slight shimmer . I can't believe June is over already! The summer is moving so fast! The fact that it's already July terrifies me; I feel like I'm going to turn around any second and it'll be snowing again. Ugh. Anyway, June was a fun month for me in terms of makeup, so let's get to the favorites! Pretty Bonnes (By ColourPop) Pretty Bonnes by ColourPop ($8) - So, a couple of months ago, ColourPop added a few new shades to its line of highlighters (try to contain your excitement) and I picked up one of them in the shade Pretty Bonnes. I feel like I talk about ColourPop highlighters all the time, and you're probably sick of reading about them, but this is an amazing highlighter! It's a clean, white highlight with a golden undertone that's very flattering on its own or layered under other highlights.Currently, my favorite way to wear it is layering it under powder highlights. Honestly, I don't have a lot of new favorites this month. I've basically been using a lot of the same products and I have a lot of the same favorites. However, I do have a couple of products that I use regularly that I want to talk about. Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 with Helioplex by Neutrogena ($13) - This product has been one of my favorites for a long time. I use it basically every day under my makeup as a daily sunscreen (it could also probably work as a daily moisturizer as well). Although I use it every day and I've been using it for a while, I thought it was a good product to mention because it's finally getting sunny outside. (Dare I say it? Summer may be here.) This is my favorite sunscreen because I am very, very fair and I definitely need SPF 110. Not to mention that it doesn't feel greasy on the skin, doesn't have a strong scent, and it works well with my makeup. The texture is also very nice and moisturizing. Even if you don't n...

April was an odd month for me (In terms of weather and in terms of life). On some days, it was rainy and cold, and on some days it was super hot and sunny (and on some days it was both in the same day, unfortunately). I didn't quite know what to make of it. However, even though the weather was half winter and half summer, my makeup was Spring themed. This month, I gravitated towards light, fresh looking makeup -- just the right combination for Spring! Albatross by NARS   ($30) - So, I'm sure everyone has heard of this very popular product, but, I still want to talk about it. NARS markets this as a blush, but most people (including me) use it as a highlight. It's a gorgeous, sheer, golden illuminating highlight, and it's universally flattering. I typically use it on top of a pale pink or terra cotta blush. I've heard that it doesn't look so good on very pale people, but I'm very pale and it looks nice on me. It's officially Spring! (I mean, I think it's Spring, although the weather doesn't seem to know what it's doing). Keratin Mist Leave-In Strengthening Treatment by Chi ($14.50) - I bought this product on the recommendation of my roommate. I wanted something that would strengthen and soften my hair, and this definitely turned out to be the ideal product for me. This product is designed to protect your hair from hot tools like straighteners and curling irons . Even though I don't use either of those things, I still use this product because my hair is just that dry and brittle . I've only been using it for a few weeks, but I already notice a difference in my hair; it's definitely softer and stronger. Anyway, there are a couple of products I really want to talk about, so I decided to streamline the process and shove a bunch of stuff into one blog. Elegant, right? Ultra Moisturizing Argan Creme Facial Lotion with Olive Oil by Promise Organic ($15) : I got this product in my ipsy bag last month (BTW, if you don't know, ipsy is a makeup subscription service, and it's amazing) and I've been using it every day ever since. It's a super light, soft moisturizer. I like it because it's not too heavy on the skin -- which is important since I wear this moisturizer under my makeup.
