Summer 2019 Empties

Image
It's been a while since I've written an empties post on this blog. As you can probably imagine, I've accumulated PILES of empties since my last empties post, so today I want to talk about the products I've used up over the summer and if I'm planning to repurchase them. Let's dive into it! (I also chatted about these empties on my YouTube channel, so check out that video if you want !) Citrus Brush Cleaner by Sephora - I've had this in my collection for a while, and, to be honest, I sort of forgot I had it. Obviously, it's a spray brush cleaner from the Sephora collection. It's a pretty decent cleanser, and it makes your brushes smell amazing, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing it; Ecotools makes a much better brush shampoo that's cheaper. Fix + by MAC - I go through Fix + like it's water, which is a problem because it's very expensive water ($27 a bottle, cough, cough). However, it really is a fantastic setting spr...

December Empties

Image
December was a super busy month for me (no shocker there), but, somehow, I found time to use up a lot of makeup (a fair amount, anyway). Anyway, empties are always my favorite blogs to write, so let's jump into it! Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover by Lancome - A few months ago, my mom gave me a kit of Lancome minis that she got as a freebie. The Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover was included in the kit, and I finally got around to trying it out about a month ago. This makeup remover is very meh. It's good, but it's not $30 good. (Seriously, guys, $30 for a makeup remover????) Anyway, I do think that this is a good makeup remover, and I appreciate that it doesn't sting my eyes. However, it does leave a slight residue on the skin, which I don't really like. I probably won't repurchase it but that's because of the price, not the product. Oil Of Morocco Argan Oil Dry Styling Oil by Marc Anthony - I've written about this before,...

Disappointing Products (Fall 2017)

Image
Today, I want to talk about some products that disappointed me. I don't like to be critical of products/brands for the sake of being critical, but I do think it's helpful to let other consumers know the cons of certain products before they buy them. In my opinion, it's always good to hear a wide range of opinions about products before purchasing them, so that you can make an informed decision. So, without further ado, these are some products that recently disappointed me: Dry Shampoo in Tropical by Batiste - I've tried to like Batiste dry shampoos; I really have. I just find them to be a lot of work to use. You really have to work them into your hair really well if you don't want them to leave a white cast. I've also tried to use the tinted kind, but found that the dye in the dry shampoo came off on my hands when I touched my hair. In my opinion, dry shampoo is supposed to be a time saving product that you use when you don't have an opportunity to wash...

New to My Collection (September 2017)

Image
I purchase a lot of beauty and personal care items (I know that this is shocking news to everyone). But, in the grand scheme of things, I only talk about a very small proportion of products that I buy on my blog. If something doesn't warrant a full review, doesn't make it into a favorites blog, doesn't make it into a haul blog, or doesn't make it into a disappointing products blog, I'm probably not going to talk about it. And that's a problem for me because I believe in no makeup left behind! So, I want to start a new category of blog posts on my blog where I talk about products that are (fairly) new to my collection and that aren't likely to be in other posts. Basically, this is just a way to give you more thoughts on more products more quickly. So, without further ado, let's get into it! Rosehip Oil  - This is a step that I've recently added to my nighttime routine. One of my friends recommended rosehip oil as a great moisturizer, and I ha...
