Reviews: Everlasting Liquid Lipstick by Kat Von D

I think the name of this product should be changed from Everlasting Liquid Lipstick to Bulletproof Liquid Lipstick, because it's actually bulletproof. I've been looking forward to trying this product for a long time and it did not disappoint me. Like, I believe this product could survive a nuclear explosion.

Needless to say, after that introduction, this is a great product. First of all, it lasts forever. It stands up to eating, drinking, and just about everything else. You can put it on your lips at 8 AM and it will still be in place at 8 PM. Unless you purposefully rub and scrub it off, it's not going anywhere.

Not to mention that it's very pigmented. I suppose it's not the most pigmented lip product I've ever encountered, but it's up there. My only complaint is that I'm not the biggest fan of the shade selection; to me there seems to be a very limited selection of reds and too many nude shades. However, I have it in the shade Lolita II, which is a gorgeous terracotta color, so, it really depends on the shades you like to wear.

In terms of texture, it's very light and comfortable. I know that some people think it's very drying, but I haven't had that experience. On the other hand, I'm sort of immune to matte, drying textures, so, if you know that that sort of texture is a problem for you, this might not be the product for you. That being said, it covers extremely well and doesn't feather or settle into lines.

It does cost $20, which is fairly normal for high end lip products. I know that's a little expensive, however, from my point of view, it's worth every penny.

Besides the color selection, my only complaint is the smell. It has a sort of chemical-esque odor, which I don't like. I really appreciate MAC Lipstick and Meet Matt(e) Hughes because they have a nice vanilla odor. If Kat Von D added an odor like that, I think this would be a perfect product. As it is, it's pretty close to perfect.

Final Rating: 10/10
