May, June, & July Empties
As I've said before, I love writing empties blogs, but I haven't had a chance to write an empties blog in a while. So, I have a LOT of empties to talk about today. Let's get to it!
Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray by ColourPop - At first, I wasn't the biggest fan of ColourPop's crystal sprays; I thought that they were just okay. However, after using the Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray up completely, I have to say that it did grow on me. The sprayer was not good at all; it left big droplets on the face. However, the formula itself was pretty decent, especially when layered with other setting sprays. I think ColourPop discontinued this spray, so I can't repurchase it, but I did like it.
Amethyst Crystal Priming Spray by ColourPop - I have to say that I like ColourPop's crystal priming sprays more than their crystal setting sprays. They're very light primers, if that makes sense. I haven't really been into using a lot of primer lately, so I liked to use it on days when I wanted my makeup to be a little lighter. It didn't really increase the wear time of my makeup or change the finish of my makeup, but it did give my skin a little extra moisture, so I did enjoy using it. I didn't really like it when I first purchased it. However, as I said, I haven't really been into primer lately, so this priming spray has been a good compromise for me. I would probably consider repurchasing it, although I have a lot of over primers to use up first.
Rose Quartz Priming Spray by ColourPop - As I said above, I didn't really like these ColourPop priming sprays when I first purchased them, but, recently, I haven't been really into using primers. This is sort of like a very light primer, so I think it's a good middle ground between using primer and not using primer. It doesn't really do much for your makeup, but it does give your skin some extra hydration. I did enjoy using it, and I might repurchase it in the future. However, I have a lot of other primers to use up first.
Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater by Mario Badescu - I picked up this spray on a whim a few months ago. It seemed like an interesting product, and I like facial sprays, so I wanted to try it out. I don't like it as a setting spray, but it's a nice, refreshing spray for days you're not wearing makeup. It's also a nice thing to put on before going to sleep, and it works well as a priming spray too. I enjoyed this spray, and I just picked up a new bottle.
Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender by Mario Badescu - I picked up this lavender spray because I enjoyed the rosewater spray by Mario Badescu. I didn't like this one quite as much; the formulas was nice, but I did not like the smell. To me, it didn't smell like lavender; it just had a strange herb smell. I probably won't be repurchasing this one.
Vanilla Bean Lip Balm by Dionis - So, over the past year or so, I've been trying to be more vigilant about moisturizing my lips, which means I've dived into the world of lip balm. To be honest, I never really used lip balm before a year or two ago (you can imagine how horribly dry my lips were), so I don't really know a lot about lip balm, and I don't have strong feelings about it. That being said, I picked up the Vanilla Bean Lip Balm by Dionis, and I really liked it. Dionis is made with goat milk, and it's paraben free, gluten free, and cruelty free. It's also very affordable. Although I don't have much to compare it against, I did really like this lip balm, and I've already ordered another one.
Lash Sensational Mascara by Maybelline - Okay, I love this mascara. This is a FANTASTIC mascara. It's volumizing, it's lengthening, it doesn't clump on the lashes, and it made my lashes look fab. It's also pretty affordable, which is always a plus. The applicator is also really easy to use and control. So, overall, I think this is a pretty bomb mascara. In fact, I was really disappointed when I ran out. I have a lot of other mascara to use up, so I probably won't be repurchasing this for a while. However, this mascara really is home run, and I highly recommend it.

Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 110 with Helioplex by Neutrogena - Sunscreen is something I use everyday, and I've been using this particular sunscreen for a while, so you can probably guess that I've been through a lot of bottles of this. I bet I've used somewhere between 10 and 20 bottles of this sunscreen, which tells you how much I like it. It protects my skin with a lot of SPF, but it's also light weight, comfortable on the skin, and non-greasy, so you can wear makeup over it. I always have a couple of extra bottles lying around, and I'll certainly continue to purchase it.
Control Freak Eyebrow Gel by NYX - This is a super basic product: it's a clear gel that holds your eyebrow hairs in place. That being said, I really like this NYX gel because it's cheap, the packaging is opaque, and it gets the job done. I already have a new tube of this gel, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase it.
Vitamin C Serum by Mario Badescu - I really LOVE this serum. Admittedly, it's pricy; however, I think it's worth it. It's so nourishing on the skin, and I really think it's improved the way my skin looks. I've already picked up another bottle of this serum, and I'll probably continue to repurchase it.
Lippie Pencil in Dopey by ColourPop - I really enjoy ColourPop's lippie pencils (which are basically lip liners). In fact, they're basically the only lip liners that I use. I really enjoyed this particular lip liner; Dopey is one of favorite ColourPop shades. It's a very flattering purply, pinkish shade. I used this lippie pencil with a ton of different lipsticks and liquid lipsticks. It's just the perfect shade in so many situations. I'll probably end up repurchasing this lippie pencil eventually, but I want to use up some of my other lippie pencils first.
All About Eyes by Clinique - I have to say that I really enjoyed this eye cream. It feels so nourishing on the skin, and I do think that it's made the skin around my eyes very soft and moisturized. I also really like this eye cream because it doesn't contain alcohol, and I'm trying to avoid skin care products that contain alcohol. This eye cream is pricy, but I think it's worth it.
Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre by MAC - I really love MAC's paint pots as eye primers. They cover all the veins and texture on your eyelids, and they provide a great base for eyeshadow. I use it everyday, and it's the only eye primer that I use. I've been through about three MAC paint pots, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase it.
Colour Essence Eye Pencil in Panther by H&M - As I've written before, I really like H&M's eyeliners (I know, random, right?). They're eyeliners are very pigmented and very long lasting. I've already bought a new eye pencil, and I'll continue to repurchase it.
Butterfly Flower Shower Gel by Bath & Body Works - As I've written before, I really like B&BW's shower gel. It's very concentrated, so you only have to use a little bit of product. This particular scent, Butterfly Flower, is kind of floral and sweet. It's not my favorite scent, and I probably won't repurchase it, but I certainly will repurchase B&BW shower gel.Control Freak Eyebrow Gel by NYX - This is a super basic product: it's a clear gel that holds your eyebrow hairs in place. Smoothie Star Body Milk Lotion by Soap & Glory - In general, I really like Soap & Glory's products. They tend to be good quality, and they always smell good. I enjoyed this lotion; there was nothing super special about the formula, but the scent is great. It has a really nice sweet, almond scent. I probably wouldn't repurchase it because I have a lot of lotion to use up, but I would recommend it.
Daily Facial Cleanser by Cetaphil - I finally used up this sample of Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser. I don't really know what to say about it; It's a pretty good facial cleanser. It's not fantastic, but it's not bad either. I would certainly use it again if I had the opportunity, but I probably wouldn't buy it myself, as there are other facial cleansers that I like more.Vanilla Bean Lip Balm by Dionis - So, over the past year or so, I've been trying to be more vigilant about moisturizing my lips, which means I've dived into the world of lip balm. Cotton Comforting Facial Wipes by Yes To - I have raved about these wipes many times before, so I'm not going to go on and on about them. They're great wipes: they remove makeup easily, they're cheap, and they're fairly gentle on the skin. It looks like Ulta no longer sells these particular wipes -- although they're still selling other Yes To wipes -- so I probably will not be repurchasing these particular wipes. However, if you stumble upon them, I do recommend them.
Makeup Remover Wipes by Cetaphil - I recently decided to try some new wipes, so I picked up these Makeup Remover Wipes by Cetaphil. I don't usually try new makeup remover wipes; I have my favorites and I stick to them for a reason. However, these wipes are REALLY good. I wouldn't recommend them if you have sensitive skin because they are a bit harsh, but they do a FANTASTIC job of removing makeup. They are a little more expensive than the wipes I usually buy, so I may or may not repurchase them in the future, but they are really good.
Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract by Burt's Bees - I've written about these makeup remover wipes many, many times before. They're very gentle on the skin, very cheap, and they smell great. The only problem is they're not very moist and you have to scrub a bit to get the makeup off your skin. Even so, I really like these wipes, I've gone through approximately a million packages of them, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase them.
