Summer Favorites
First of all, I'd like to apologize for not writing a favorites blog in approximately a million years. I think I last wrote a favorites blog in April, which is completely unacceptable. Anyway, I promise that I'll be better about writing favorites blogs in the future. The truth is that, on a day to day basis, I basically use the same products all the time, so I never feel like I have many new favorites to talk about.
However, I have been using some really amazing products lately, and I want to talk about them. So, let's get into my summer favorites:
Fame Palette by ColourPop - I recently wrote a full review of this palette, so you can read it here if you're interested. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like this palette, I've been using it on almost a daily basis to put together looks for work. I like cool toned shadows, so this is basically a perfect neutral palette for me. The formula is really nice too; normally, I don't really like ColourPop's eyeshadow formula, but the formula of this palette is really nice to work with. The shades are all pigmented and easy to blend. If you're looking to try a ColourPop palette, I highly recommend this one.
Boudoir Eyes Eyeshadow Palette by Too Faced - I feel like this palette is a Too Faced classic; this was one of the palettes that Too Faced put out before they started doing a lot of cutesy stuff. I think it was the second or third high end eyeshadow palette that I ever bought, and it has served me well. This palette is full of neutral toned mauvey pink shades. The shades are extremely wearable and provide a lot of soft, "romantic" looks (I feel like romantic was a term people used a lot to describe eye makeup a few years ago). The shadows themselves are pigmented and easy to work with. This is a great palette to grab for an easy, everyday look that is also soft and flattering.
Flawless Finish Foundation by e.l.f. - Long story short: this foundation is the bomb. It has a beautiful satin finish, medium to full coverage, and it's cheap. What could be better? It's not the most long lasting foundation ever, but it usually lasts for a good eight hours, and it really only breaks down around the nose, chin, and mouth. The only problem is that the shade range is absolutely terrible. However, if they do have your shade, it's definitely worth picking up.

Be Kissed By The Moon Eye & Face Palette by Essence - I just recently wrote a full review of this palette; long story short, it's my new favorite highlight palette. This is such a pretty palette, and it's so amazingly cheap. The formula is fantastic; all of the shades are so smooth, and the shades are shimmery, not glittery, which is VERY important to me. I use this palette almost every day, and I love it. If you like highlights at all (and like these shades), you'll love this palette.
Light Illusion Liquid Foundation by Flower Beauty - Okay, so I saw reviews of this foundation on YouTube months ago, and everyone who reviewed it loved it. Yet, for some reason, it took me until now to try this foundation, which was a huge mistake because this foundation is GREAT. It has a dewy satin finish, which is extremely flattering on the skin. I would describe this as medium to full coverage, but it's not too heavy or cakey on the skin. It does start to break down by the end of the day, but, overall, it's really beautiful. The shade range isn't great; however, if you can find your shade, the formula is really great.
Fresh & Fit Awake Make Up by Essence - This has GOT to be the best $7 foundation in the world; in fact, it's one the best drugstore foundations period. It is a BEAUTIFUL foundation. The coverage is light to medium, but it looks so natural and perfect on the skin. It basically looks like your skin but much better. It's perfect for everyday makeup for work or school, and it's actually pretty long lasting. It lasts about 10-12 hours on me, which is amazing for a drugstore foundation. It's also one of the few drugstore foundations that doesn't crease and breakdown around my mouth, chin, and nose. Again, the shade range is GARBAGE, but the foundation itself is amazing.
Super Shock Highlighter in Hippo by ColourPop - Okay, so this is something that I forgot I had in my collection. I used to be really into ColourPop's Super Shock Highlighters back in the day, but then I started using powder highlights more often, and I kind of forgot about these. I used to love Hippo back in the day (by which I mean 2016), but I eventually kind of forgot about it. Anyway, I've recently been using Hippo again, and I'm really enjoying it. It's a very pretty, purply highlight. I apply it with a synthetic brush, which works really well. Even though it's a cream product, it applies really well over powder. If you haven't tried them, I totally recommend the Super Shock Highlighters.
