It Really is a Snap! Maybelline Snapscara Review

I'm not a person who usually gets excited about mascara, but when I saw that Maybelline was releasing their Snapscara, I was immediately intrigued.

If you haven't seen the ads, this is billed as a "washable" mascara, meaning that you can take it off with water. It also claims to be raccoon-eye free, which is pretty exciting. My impression is that it was designed to be an "easy to use" mascara, no mess, no hassle, and easy to remove. It comes in four different shades for $7.99 each.

This mascara really caught my attention, so, when I saw it at Ulta, I decided to pick it up. I grabbed two shades: Pitch Black and Black Cherry, which is kind of a red-brown color. I've been using both for weeks, and I'm ready to share my review.

First of all, I think this is a great concept for a mascara. Everyone who wears makeup knows that mascara can be messy and difficult to remove, and so many people don't want to deal with that. I think Maybelline wanted to develop a product for people who want something simple and easy to use, and they certainly delivered on that.

This is not a dramatic mascara. It's not going to give you crazy volume or length, but it is easy to apply, easy to remove, and attractive on the lashes. It doesn't clump, and it gives decent length and volume. It doesn't crumble throughout the day, and it stays on your lashes. It's the perfect mascara for simple looks or when you're just going to school or work.

If you're looking for a super dramatic mascara that gives the false lashes effect, this mascara is not for you. However, if you're looking for a hassle-free mascara for everyday makeup, you'll probably really enjoy this mascara. It has definitely become my go-to mascara for natural, everyday looks, and I wear it to work all the time.

Final rating: 9/10
