Review: PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation by Revlon

A few months ago, I started hearing about Revlon's new Candid foundation on YouTube. A Revlon product hasn't disappointed me yet, so I decided to give their new foundation a try. I've been using it for about a month now, and I have some thoughts to share.

First of all, I should say that this foundation costs $10.99, which I think is very reasonable. It comes in 31 shades, which is a pretty good shade range for a drugstore brand. The shade range tilts pretty heavily toward light to medium shades, but they also have a few deep dark shades. Even though the shade range isn't perfect, I feel like it's much better than most other drugstore brands.

I should also take a second to talk about the packaging. It comes in a squeeze bottle with a pump, which I'm not sure if I like. I find the packaging to be a little strange, but I can get past it. The tube itself is a nice light pink shade, which I enjoy; it looks lovely.

Revlon describes the foundation as medium coverage with a natural finish, which is right up my alley. I've been using this foundation for a while, and I have to say that I really enjoy the formula. It looks very flattering and natural on my skin (which you would expect from a natural finish foundation). It's not too dry, and not too dewey. In my opinion, it's the perfect every day foundation for work or school.

The older I get, the more I enjoy foundations like this one. At this stage of my life, I just feel like light to medium coverage with a natural or dewey finish looks better on me. So, I think I'm really going to get on well with this foundation.

The only drawback is that, if you have a lot of texture or other imperfections, they will be very visible with this foundation. However, I think that's the case with every low to medium coverage foundation.

Overall, I think anyone with normal to dry skin would enjoy this foundation; although, it might not be great for oily skin.

Final rating: 8/10
