Colourpop Fall Edit Swatches

I'm a Colourpop believer, through and through. Colourpop produces great products at very reasonable prices. Today, I have some swatches of lip shades from Colourpop's Fall Edit (well, two are from the Fall edit; two are just fall shades (well, I consider them to be Fall shades)).

First of all, I want to reiterate how much I love Colourpop's formulas for their Ultra Satin Lip line and their Ultra Matte Lip line. They're both long lasting, comfortable, and very pigmented.  Plus, all of Colourpop's products are super affordable; so, they're a really good value for the money.

The first shade I picked up from the Fall Edit was Barracuda. Barracuda is an Ultra Satin Lip, and it's a deep, brownish red. I absolutely love this shade; it's so flattering and it's so autumnal. To me, Fall is the perfect time for dramatic lip colors. I love red, dusty rose, and brown lip products in the Fall, and Barracuda is just perfect for me.

The second color I picked up from the Fall Edit was Viper. Viper is an Ultra Matte Lip, and it's a dark, dusty rose shade. Dusty rose is one of my favorite lip shades in general. I wear it all year round. This particular shade really reminds me of another Colourpop shade, Dopey.

I also picked up two of Colourpop's Ultra Metallic Lip shades, Man Eater and Zebra. Man Eater is a bronzy brown shade with a hint of gold. Zebra is a metallic reddish brown shade. They're both very pretty, although I'm not as impressed with the formula of these lip products as I am with the Ultra Satin and Ultra Matte Lip lines. The Ultra Metallic Lip shades aren't as long lasting, and they aren't as pigmented. The metallic shades just don't seem to cover as well and don't seem to be as opaque. For the price ($6), they're a great value. However, you have to be willing to work with the formula a bit.

Anyway, those were the Colourpop shades I picked up for Fall. If you don't have any Colourpop lip products, I highly recommend picking some up. They have wonderful formulas for wonderful prices. Plus, they have gorgeous shades for Fall (and every other season too).

I usually do my best to resist buying holiday makeup releases. Often, holiday products have a different formula and aren't as good as other products carried by the brand. However, sometimes holiday releases are just too good to miss. I recently grabbed one of Tarte's holiday releases, the 9 Ways To Shine Cheek Wardrobe. As the name suggests, this is basically a face collection with nine shades of blush, highlight, and bronzer. I was primarily interested in it because 1) I like Tarte blushes and 2) the packaging was SO CUTE .  The shades come in three stacks that slide open and fold up as needed. The Violet One Lash Primer by Milani: Review

I don't normally use lash primer, but recently I've heard good things about the Violet One lash primer by Milani, so I decided to try it out. I've now been using it for about a month, and I have some thoughts to share. First of all, I should say that this primer DEFINITELY makes a difference. Sometimes, I feel like primers in general are just an extra step, but every now and then you stumble upon one that is really good. This primer really does lengthen and volumize your lashes. In fact, when used properly, it almost gives a false lash effect. Milani calls it a "next-level lash primer with a better than falsies formula that really does it all," and I think that's pretty accurate. When layered with regular mascara, the primer gives you longer and fuller lashes. However, this product does have some problems. First of all, it clumps like CRAZY. Review: The New Classics Palette by e.l.f.

I have used quite a few e.l.f. products in my life, but I've never had an e.l.f. eyeshadow palette before. e.l.f. eyeshadow palettes seems to usually get pretty decent reviews, but I was never tempted to pick one up before because I'm not usually impressed by drug store palettes. However, when the New Classics Palette came out, I was drawn to it right away because I found the color scheme to be super appealing. There are a lot of cool-toned and neutral-toned shadows and some beautiful, mauve toned shades. I don't think this color scheme is totally unique, but I haven't seen any other drug store palette quite like this one. Anyway,  I picked up this palette around Christmas on sale, and I've been playing with it ever since. I've had a lot of time to test it out, so let's dive into the review.
